The proper introductions are made

Adamas and the officer escorting him moved forward, standing just before the elevated platform, which was naturally off limits, unless given permission by the queen. The officer addressed her, in their language, introducing the Greek merchant. Mekada nodded and then turned to Adamas.

"What brings you to my kingdom, merchant?" she said in fluent Greek, which caught Adamas off guard. "Are you surprised I speak your language?". He responded quickly: "Truth is I am, Queen Mekada. I did not expect to hear Greek being spoken this far south". The queen smiled. "This is hardly the first interaction between our people", she commented. "I am aware, my queen. King Memnon of Ethiopia fought against the Greeks in the Trojan war" said Adamas.

"I see you are a man of knowledge" replied the Queen, impressed by the Greek being informed of her heritage. Adamas continued: "I am not just a merchant, Queen Mekada. I am a traveler and an explorer. I've seen many cultures. I have spent years in Egypt discovering secrets of mankind. This is why I came to Ethiopia. To unravel its secrets and to trade, further expanding our relationships, if you will allow me of course."

The Queen listened carefully to him, then responded: "No-one else in here speaks Greek besides the two of us. So, tell me, given all the peoples and kingdoms you've seen, what do you make of me?". Adamas was stunned by this question. He wasn't entirely sure how to handle it, but he estimated that the truth was the best approach: "I have seen many women and many queens as well. I must admit, none of them were nearly as beautiful and appealing as you. But also, no other queen made such a... physical display of power".

A wide grin appeared on Mekada's face, she was satisfied by that answer. "I think you have me at a disadvantage here, Adamas", she said in a playful tone. Adamas was confused: "Why is that, my Queen?". The Queen ignored him for a moment and ordered the male guards, along with the officer to exit the throne room. Once it was cleared, she turned to the Greek again.
