Antoine accepted the opportunity to franchise his restaurants with Victor. Elizabeth had mixed feelings about it. On one hand, she was proud of Antoine for believing in himself, and wanting to be successful. But something about Victor gave her pause. And the fact that Antoine would be out of town much more frequently, leaving his wife home alone, made her unhappy. She hoped her father's old saying wouldn't come to pass -- that pigs get fat, but hogs get slaughtered.
