Dressing For The Fair

The week of the fun fair's visit to the town coincided with one of those heatwaves that were becoming more and more frequent in England. So it was no hardship for Debbi to be going out that evening dressed in next to nothing. In fact if you didn't count her sneakers, she was only wearing two articles of clothing; a white lace thong and a loose yellow dress that fell from a pair of spaghetti straps to just above her knee. Made of thin cotton, it hung straight down with no darts at the waist. The neckline was not especially low cut but her nipples poked prominently through the fabric.

Debbi studied her reflection in the mirror before setting out. Her black mop of hair was not long enough for a regular pony tail but she had tied it back and, having applied minimal makeup, she looked younger than her 26 years. She had thought that she would look less incongruous that way while trailing around a fun fair in the evening. She was excited but nervous to be going along with Carol's crazy idea but there was no jeopardy involved she told herself, it was all light hearted and she could drop out at any time with no repercussions. She wasn't even certain that her older colleague would be around to witness whatever she got up to, even though Carol had stated that she would be watching.

Wanting to be as unencumbered as possible, Debbi hooked the strap of her small purse diagonally over her shoulder and headed out of the door !
