A Glorious arrival

"Sorry for the late arrival." A tall, burly woman with flowing raven hair and a golden helmet said as she hovered in the air for a bit and landed on the ground before entering the room. "Name's Glorious Victory."

"The same Glorious Victory we just read about?!" Osaka asked, gesturing to the computer monitor.

"The very same." Glorious Victory replied with a nod. "I managed to track Goddess of Shadow to this point in time, but I had lost track of her in the time stream. It was only when I saw the explosion that I managed to find her."

"Great!" Kumiko shouted in excitement, "With you here, you can defeat Goddess of Shadow like you did before and get our powers back!"

"I'm afraid it's not that easy, Magical Girl Kumiko." Glorious Victory said, shaking her head. "Goddess of Shadow has gotten far more powerful than the last time we fought thanks to reabsorbing her old abilities. And last time I only won with a lucky shot."

"Gwoh, Gwreat! Gwhen Gwe're Gwrewed!" Gwuck groaned.

"Not necessarily." Glorious Victory replied quickly, "She might be powerful now, but she can still be beaten! I know that Magical Girl Kumiko can -"

"I can what?! Fail and turn into that monster?!" Kumiko shouted, "I was right earlier! There's no point!"

"Now wait just a minute there!" Glorious Victory exclaimed in a mixture of shock and disappointment. "This isn't the Magical Girl Kumiko that I know!"

"What the hell would you know about me?! I was before your time!"

"You're the reason I'm a freaking hero in the first place!" Glorious Victory snapped as she removed her helmet to reveal her face, causing Kumiko to gasp in shock.

"T-T-Tenko?!"

"Hey, Boss!" A fat goon dressed as a clown called out to his superior. "Wasn't Magical Girl Kumiko supposed to show up by now?"

As the other four hundred henchmen in the seaside warehouse agreed, a tall and lanky man dressed in a green suit and clown face paint merely frowned in annoyance.

"Oh, shut up!" The Wacko ordered his henchmen before glaring out the window. "Of all the unprofessional - Here I go through the trouble of creating a criminal empire twelve years in the making and bringing it over to Calamity City, and it's supposed heroine doesn't even give me the time of day! Would Batman ignore The Joker?! Would Spider-Man ignore The Kingpin?!"

"Maybe if you were a blip on her radar..."

At the new voice, The Wacko and his goons turned to the entrance of the warehouse where Goddess of Shadows stood with an evil grin on her face.

"And just who the hell are you, Sister?!" The Wacko challenged.

"Name's Goddess of Shadows." Goddess of Shadows replied, narrowing her eyes as her grin grew wider. "I already called dibs on making this city suffer and buckle under my rule. However," she slammed and locked the doors of the warehouse shut with a wave of her hand, "I just have a little errand to run first..."
