Chapter 165 by Exarch-of-Sechrima Exarch-of-Sechrima

Finally... engaged!

Just call me angel of the morning, angel

When Nick woke up, he took a second to process the reality of his situation. For a moment, he though that he was still dreaming. A beautiful redhead was laying in bed beside him, her eyes close and her lips slightly parted. Her face seemed to glow with the light of an angel.

That’s right… Mary proposed to me last night… and I said yes. Nick was a man with a fiancé. This would almost be a perfect morning, if not for one fact…

“Mrrmggle…” A pair of arms wrapped around his ribcage and choked the life out of him. He winced. They weren’t alone.

Because of Sylvia’s stupid rules, everyone Rose brought up to the Master’s Suite with her had to share the same bed, including, of course, Rose herself. The blonde had clearly sensed what was going to happen and slept on the other side of Mary, leaving Nick alone to deal with Marley’s aggressive cuddling.

Well… it could be worse.

“Ah… what a gorgeous night’s rest…” Rose awoke from her sleep looking splendid as ever, and smirked when she saw the condition Nick was in. Not just the fact that Marley had him in her clutches and refused to let go, but… his “other” condition.

Marley’s tight hug had resulted in her massive chest pressed up into Nick’s back like a couple of gigantic marshmallows, a pair of pillows stuffed with succulently soft meat.

If Mary caught him in this situation… wait.

That’s right. Mary’s okay with me doing things with other girls… she’s fine with me getting married to other people. Even as he thought that, though, he knew it wasn’t so simple. She wasn’t “okay” with it. She was allowing it to happen.

There was a difference, and he couldn’t forget that.

She gave up a lot for me, he thought as he looked at her beaming smile. She must have been having a wonderful dream. She wanted to be my only wife… but she was willing to give that up, so that I could be happy. So that we could both be happy.

The sacrifice Mary made for the two of them was something Nick wasn’t sure he could match, even if they had a lifetime together. But seeing her sleeping beside him made him certain- he wanted to make it up to her however he could.

Marley’s grip surprisingly loosened. Enough so that Nick could lean forward and plant a chaste kiss on Mary’s forehead.

“Want me to douse her in cold water?” Rose cheekily volunteered, leaning over the two of them. “That should make her let go.”

“No cold water…” Marley mumbled.

“Wait, Marley, you’re awake?” Nick gasped.

Marley paused, and hugged him even tighter. “…No…”

“Marley!”

“Just a little!” She whined. “Snuggles…”

“Seems like she’s a little more ‘Mimi’ in the mornings,” Rose mused. Marley responded by flipping her off.

“Hey! I’ll walk right across this room little missy!”

Rose’s threat was pointless though, because after Marley removed one of her hands to flip her off, that was enough for Nick to slip out of her grip.

“Aww…” Marley’s arms grasped out for him, but he had already crawled down to the foot of the bed and gotten out.

With her primary squeeze toy departed, Marley turned to her next target, glomping onto Rose without hesitation.

“Rose…”

“…Yeah. Fine. Whatever…” Rose sighed, allowing herself to be squeezed. Her skimpy cowgirl clothes left a lot of exposed skin for Marley to cling to.

Nick looked down at Mary and felt his heart skip a beat. She looked even more lovely from this angle. He almost didn’t want to wake her up.

“Let’s let her sleep in,” he decided, turning to the other women.

Rose rolled her eyes. “Oh, sure. She gets to sleep in a nice feather bed all morning without a care in the world thanks to the benevolence of her lovely fiancé, and what do I get? Glomped by one half of the gruesome twosome. This was supposed to be my night, remember?”

“…Yeah,” Nick admitted sheepishly. He kind of felt bad for Rose, after everything that happened. This was twice now that her night had been co-opted by other women. And while she had volunteered for it to happen both times, it was still a shame. They hadn’t had an evening together since the night he learned her real identity.

Maybe it’s for the best though, he thought, glancing at her scandalous attire and wondering if he could control himself. ...Not that he wasn’t excited at the prospect. Rose looked like the kind of beauty he’d find on a little farm somewhere. A southern belle with just the right mixture of innocence and sultriness. In fact, she even pulled the look off better than Mary, since she wore it with pride.

“It’s fine, it’s fine,” Rose sighed, waving her hand. “But just so we’re clear, if I’m eliminated this round? I will be very cross that I didn’t get to spend my night with you, mister!”

Nick nodded. “Yeah, uh… that makes sense, yeah.” He felt a swell of guilt in his chest as he realized that while Rose’s tone might have been jocular, the words she was speaking were very serious. There was a real chance that she, or anyone, might get eliminated after this round; and if that happened, and he hadn’t spent enough time with her, then he would regret it.

“…I’d like to say that I’ll try and make it up to you,” Nick said, “but I’m not sure how I can do that, honestly.”

Rose tapped her chin thoughtfully. “Well… next round, if I’m not eliminated, then I want a day just for the two of us! I’ll work on getting the funds to buy that 24 hour dream, just like Dawn did last round. You’d be fine with that, oui?”

Nick considered that, and nodded. “Yeah, sure,” he agreed. “That’s only fair.”

Rose purred. “Magnifique! In that case… I must focus on winning this next round, to make sure I won’t get eliminated. And in the meantime, you, mon compagnon…” her eyes slid to Mary and she smiled. “Please, enjoy your time with your bride-to-be.”

Nick turned red. “H-hey! I said, we should just let her sleep! I’ll… whatever. I’ll head down to breakfast,” he decided. “We have a big announcement to make, after all.”

Rose smiled into her fake gasp. “Announcing your engagement without Mary being present? My, how bold. She’s going to be quite overwhelmed…”

“Yeah, you’re right about that,” Nick admitted. “But I have to think about the position of the other girls, too. This is important, and I don’t want anybody being left in the dark.”

“…Seriously?” Marley groaned, rolling her eyes.

Rose had to agree. She suppressed a smirk.

“Oh, my dear, sweet boy,” she tittered. “With how that little dove has been fluttering around? I’d wager that every single girl here is well aware of what is going on.”

Dani had no idea what was going on. She’d woken up in marshmallow heaven. There was a squishy naked girl to the left of her, and a squishy pale goth to the right of her.

She’d dreamed about this fantasy before.

Right… that’s what happened.

The night before, Dani and Carly had been playing fighting games up until the night had fallen. They hadn’t even left Dani’s room to eat! The two girls had ordered a couple of pizzas and pigged out while playing, just enjoying each other’s company.

They had no idea how late it was until a knock on the door had gotten their attention. It was Morgana, come to spend her night with Dani.

Carly hadn’t let her get a word out before she was snatched up and dragged into the room.

“Excellent! A player three!” She chirped.

“N-no, I… I’m not good with those kinds of games,” Morgana stammered, shaking her head. Fighting games weren’t something she was good at; at least, not the cooperative ones. She could play all manner of single-players though! Her favorite genre of game, though, were visual novels- particularly the steamy ones.

What a surprise.

It was no use though. Carly and Dani were both urging her to join, even though Dani was a little more **** about it. She’d thought this was their thing, but at the same time, she didn’t want to make waves.

Carly had already made her reasoning pretty clear earlier that day; Morgana didn’t really have anyone here she could call a friend; in fact, Carly and Marley had been planning to hang out with her today, before Rose had surprised them with Dani’s offer.

Hearing that, and seeing the look of cheer on Morgana’s face to finally be hanging out with the girls, had melted Dani’s heart like butter.

“Hey, you!” She barked, and Morgana straightened out. She stared at Dani and her face turned even more pale as a horrified expression filled her eyes.

Dani sighed.

“Hey, look, about what happened before… we’re good. I’m not upset about it anymore,” she promised Morgana. “Look, it was a mistake. I’m sorry for scaring you.”

“You’re really not mad, right?” Morgana asked hopefully.

Dani shook her head. “Look, Morgana. I’ve been where you are. I’ve been the girl on the outside, looking in. When I was in art school…”

She tensed. She didn’t want to tell this story to a stranger, but if it would help…

Dani glanced at Carly and saw her eyes shining. She was nodding along with what Dani was saying, and that was enough to win Dani over. If Carly was counting on her to make Morgana feel welcome, then damn it, that’s what Dani was going to do.

Sure, you could call her a simp. She didn’t care. This was what she wanted, because she had feelings for her, and she wanted to make her happy.

And not only that… she really did feel bad for Morgana now that she’d gotten to understand the girl’s position a little better. Morgana wasn’t just some crazy obsessed stalker. She was lonely- and that was something Dani could sympathize with well.

So she decided to share her story as much as she could, without going into any specifics.

“When I went to art school, I was the outsider. The outcast,” she explained solemnly.

The smile slowly fell from Carly’s face. She didn’t expect that sort of story to come from Dani. But… maybe it would help?

“There’s not a lot to talk about, really,” Dani said, shaking her head. “Well… there was some stuff, but…”

“No, it’s fine!” Morgana shook her head. “You don’t have to tell me, really!”

Anything that would put a pained expression on the face of a girl like Dani must have been really serious. Morgana didn’t want to push her luck. This was supposed to be a happy, pleasant experience on the hotel. She didn’t want to deal with the real.

“Let’s… let’s play video games instead!” She suggested, even though she was a total novice. She **** a shaky smile to her face. “You guys can show me how, right?”

Dani blinked, realizing her eyes had started misting over. She **** those dark thoughts back down to where she kept them, and tried to smile.

“You’re right, Morgana!” She nodded. “That would be a great idea, I love it!”

Morgana smiled and sighed in relief, glad that things weren’t going to be upset.

Carly, on the other hand, was just happy in general. But that expression Dani had made, before she’d been about to share her story… it brought sad thoughts to her mind.

So Dani’s hiding something too… I suppose that’s to be expected, she thought. After all, the way I was… well, I guess we all have our issues.

“Let’s play!” Carly agreed, nodding. She patted Dani on the back. “Sound good?”

Dani smiled, and nodded.

“Oh, one more thing!” Carly turned to Morgana. “Before we start, let’s get that diary entry out of the way, okay? Feel free to give me whatever kind of fantasy you’ve got! The wilder the better!”

Dani’s jaw dropped in shock, and even Morgana looked surprised.

“R-really? Anything?” She asked.

Carly nodded. “Sure thing! What are you thinking of?”

“Um…” Morgana’s thoughts went back to the last few days, and the fantasies she’d come up with. She had an idea or two.

“I think I know what to do!” She nodded. Dirty thoughts were already filling her mind as she fantasized about Nick. She started drooling, and fled to the bathroom while Carly and Dani set up the game for three players.

And now was the next morning. Dani had slept wonderfully. Her dream that night had been another dream about Nick, because of course it was. She’d been thinking back to that time in the sauna with Nick, when he fell on top of her and his dick sprayed in her face. She’d been very upset about it at the time, but in the present, it didn’t bother her at all.

She knew it should, but… it didn’t. That was thanks to her transformation. She sighed, not knowing if she should be grateful or not that Sylvia’s mischief was making it easier for her to ignore that sort of thing. I have to be vigilant, she though, recalling the goal here. Sylvia’s trying to make me fall in love with him. And I’m not letting that happen.

Dani might be sick.

Morgana had exactly what she wanted, of course, so she was sleeping like a baby. Doubtless she’d had another fun fantasy with Nick. Dani wished she could have a transformation like that… allowing her to fantasize all night about Carly…

Morgana got to have fun.

Carly, on the other hand…

The naked cosplayer woke up, and looked a little worn down. She made eye contact with Dani, and quickly looked away.

“Carly?” Dani asked.

“Nothing…” She mumbled, shaking her head. “It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it…”

Dani tensed, but she acquiesced. The way Carly was acting… it was odd. But she didn’t seem sad, or even upset. Just like she’d had a little trouble sleeping.

“You didn’t have a bad dream, did you?” She asked. “Maybe because you had to come over here?”

Technically, Carly was supposed to spend the night in her own room. But Sylvia only enforced that rule on a case by case basis; in a situation like this, she’d never said anything before.

Maybe that was the problem?

But Carly shook her head.

“I’m serious,” she assured her. “It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it.”

And yet, Dani continued to worry. She just couldn’t let Carly see that; it might make her feel even worse about things.

“Well… if that’s what you want…” She said, turning away. Dani knew Carly wouldn’t want her to stare; that would just be rude!

“I’m going to take a shower,” Carly yawned, walking over to the bathroom and closed the door. The shower started running a few seconds later.

Dani sighed. She didn’t know how to handle Carly. She must have just woken up on the wrong side of the bed or something, she thought, shaking her head.

“Haaaaaaahn…” Morgana woke up with a sigh and stretched. Her see-through black negligee hung sloppily off her curvaceous frame, and in that moment you could be forgiven for not remembering the kind of woman she was.

“You sleep well?” Dani asked.

“Of course,” Morgana chirped. “I’ve been getting lots of good nights’ sleep. …Except last night…” She shivered as she remembered her night with Dakota. But even that was nothing compared to the nightmare she’d had her first night here.

I still don’t get how that dream was supposed to help me with Nick, she thought, shaking her head. Then she noticed that Dani had a tense expression on her face.

In the past, Morgana probably wouldn’t have cared. That was someone else’s problem, after all, not hers. But recently, Morgana had been working on befriending people. And Carly had told her that a big part of that was being empathetic and realizing she wasn’t the center of the universe.

…That sounded really stupid, but she was willing to humor the other woman if it meant being able to have friends.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

“Hmm? Oh, uh, yeah, I’m fine,” Dani said, shaking her head. “It’s just that… I don’t know, I’m concerned about Carly I guess.”

She glanced back at the bathroom. The sound of running water was still going, although that was nothing new in this room.

“Carly?” Morgana perked up at that. While she wasn’t close with Dani yet, Carly had been nice to her, and she considered the cosplayer her friend. “What’s wrong with her?”

Dani shrugged. “I don’t know,” she said. “That’s why I’m worried. She seemed to wake up in a weird mood.”

“What, like she was upset?” Morgana frowned. That didn’t make sense. She’d made sure to give Carly exactly what she asked for last night, the kinkiest fantasy she could think of.

“I wouldn’t say upset…” Dani was actually having a hard time figuring out what Carly’s emotional state was. She almost seemed like she had a fever or something. She was completely distracted. That was the word! Distracted.

“It’s like she’s thinking about something troubling,” Dani said. “I don’t know what it would be, though. Maybe she had a weird dream?”

Dani might not have been disgusted by her dreams anymore thanks to her upgraded transformation, but the dreams themselves were still weird.

“A weird dream?” Morgana tilted her head to the side. “I mean… I gave her a fantasy, but I wouldn’t say it was weird or anything.”

Dani narrowed her eyes. She had a bad feeling about this.

“What kind of dream?” She asked. “Let me see your diary.”

Dani expected Morgana to hide it from her, but Morgana was actually fine with showing her. Just another example of how strange the goth was. She passed the diary to Dani, who flipped it open to the most recent entry.

She scanned the diary, and went pale. “…Wait, what?”

“What’s wrong?” Morgana asked. “It’s really ****! Carly wanted that!”

“N-no, it’s not…” Oh, this wasn’t good. Dani shook her head. “No, you can’t DO that! You can’t give Carly a dream like this! Not her!”

No wonder Carly was freaking out a little. Dani would have reacted even worse.

What the hell did Morgana think she was doing?!

Dawn woke up. She stretched.

“Nyaaaaah… what a good night’s rest…”

Now that she wasn’t sandwiched between two people, she had finally gotten a good night’s sleep. Her day was off to a great start!

Talk about a morning after! Good for Dawn!
