Chapter 22

Did Mira hear this name before?
Yes, it is her father's
Mira's heart pounded in disbelief. How could this be? The name Taihon just uttered was her father's, one he used when he set out to make a name for himself as a young knight, free from his family's expectations. She had only heard it once before, during an intimate conversation between her father and an old friend. There must have been a mistake, she thought desperately. Perhaps Taihon had the wrong name or there was another knight with the same moniker. Anything but the unthinkable: her father could never have taken anyone by ****.
The mere idea that she might be related to this... this sinner, made her stomach churn. And if it were true, it would mean that she was a sister to this monster... and just moments ago, she had willingly... sucked him off.
"Yeah, right. Nice story," Mira scoffed, sarcasm dripping from her words. "How many naive maidens have you failed to dupe with this crap... before resorting to taking them by ****?" She tried desperately to convince herself that none of it could be true.
"I knew you wouldn't be impressed," Rogue said, shaking his head. "Listen here, paladin. I'm getting tired of your fucking judgment and your damn honor. So unless you want to see something worse than the Minotaur," he growled, leaning in menacingly, "I suggest you close your cocksucking lips... or I'll forget about our little alliance and have some real fun."
"As you wish," Mira spat,. "As if conversing with you is a pleasant experience."
They continued their journey in tense silence, each lost in their own thoughts. Mira couldn't shake the events from earlier, the Minotaur's rough hands on her body, and the shame of what she had been willing to do. But most troubling was the nagging doubt that lingered in her mind - could her father's past be as Rogue had described?
Meanwhile, Taihon's thoughts were consumed by Mira herself. He couldn't help but silently indulge in his darkest fantasies, all of which featured the haughty paladin at his mercy. She infuriated him to no end... and yet, there was something about her - an air of defiance, perhaps? - that set her apart from any other woman he'd ever known.
Will they reach the exit safely?
