What is the dress?
Black and White Gown from France
She pulled out a black and white dress. From the bundle John could only make out that the fabric seemed to shimmer a bit. As though it was made out of some type of satin.
"Looks like it," said John as Petra offered him the dress.
"It's one of a kind," she explained, "The designer is from France."
John eyed the dress and shrugged. It wasn't like he was from France.
"Is there anything else you need?" She asked.
"I think that's everything," said John. Not wanting to stay in the store for another minute.
Just then a raven haired employee in a short cream dress came rushing towards them, "Madame! There has been an incident in the nail salon. We need you at once."
"Thank you, Yvette." Petra turned to John, "Would it be alright if we take a detour through the nail salon. It should only take a moment."
John nodded his head. "I just need to be back before five with the dress."
"Don't worry," smiled Petra, "You have plenty of time."
The nail salon was much smaller than what John expected, but definitely more extravagant. The tables and chairs all look to be from a Victorian era mansion and the walls were decorated ornately with gold trim and floral patterns stitched into the wall. Aside from a few odd contraptions that seemed to also be decorated to look old fashioned, but clearly electrical, he could have sworn he was in a different place and time.
"This way," said Petra, point in to a door at the end of the hall. "Could you stay there while I take care of this? We can't have someone accidentally disturb one of our guests."
John just nodded and entered the door, where he found himself...
