Ren first went through his IMs to see which of his female friends were available.

Makoto Niijima, his girlfriend, and younger sister of the ace prosecutor Sae Niijima. Since she came to his room all the time, it wouldn't be hard to get her to come over.

Ren felt giddy. Well, he usually did when he and Makoto hung out alone, but this time he was even more giddy.
