Do you put it on?

For 24 hours

You carefully program the collar for 24 hours before closing it around your neck. It shuts with a click-beep and no matter how hard you pry, it won’t reopen. An LCD panel on the outside pops up with a timer displaying a countdown until the collar unlocks.

Deciding it is kind-of dumb to be a public use **** and hide in your apartment all day, you go to find some shoes. You're going to take a walk. Afraid of losing it, you leave the rulebook safe in your bedroom.

None of your shoes look very comfortable to walk in, so you just put the stripper heels from yesterday back on and head outside. You have only made it part way down your street when your stopped.
