A Kiss in the Shadows
Ethan stirred in a state of confusion, the lingering tendrils of sleep pulling at his consciousness. His surroundings felt surreal, like a dream, and his mind was still fogged in a haze that made it difficult to distinguish between reality and the realms of slumber.
As he blinked away the remnants of his dreams, a vision materialized before him—an ethereal beauty with nearly white blonde locks cascading around her angelic face, wearing a sleeping gown. But her icy blue eyes didn't fit with her seraphic vibe at all, they bore into his soul, igniting a primal fear that surged through his weakened body. It was an unsettling sensation, even as her appearance drew him in, something about her was deeply unnerving. She seemed both alluring and perilous, like a siren luring sailors into treacherous waters.
Though he couldn't recall much in his current state, he had a vague sense that he must have met her before. A sensation of familiarity hung in the air, like a half-remembered melody from a distant past, but he couldn't place where or when they might have crossed paths.
She moved gracefully toward him, approaching his bed with a predatory elegance. Ethan, trapped in his own disoriented haze, was unable to do more than observe her in mute confusion.
He expected the worst, given the circumstances, but then her gentle hand brushed against his cheek, her fingers tracing a gentle path across his skin. Soft words, like a distant murmur, spilled from her lips, but their meaning was lost to his foggy mind. Yet her voice was soothing, that much he was able to discern; a stark contrast to the predatory hunger in her gaze.
Her hands continued their exploration, their touch tender and strangely comforting. A sense of security washed over him, and he found himself sinking back into the bed, his resistance waning.
And then, her lips met his in a slow, sensual kiss that caught him completely off guard. His lips parted involuntarily, granting her access, and her tongue slipped into his mouth, igniting a passionate dance that seemed to transport him to another world. It was a kiss that stirred desire and longing within him, melting away his fear and confusion.
The kiss ended all too soon, leaving Ethan yearning for more, but he couldn't summon the strength to pursue it. Instead, he lay there, gasping, unable to comprehend the emotions that had overtaken him. The mysterious woman whispered something in his ear and still he couldn't decipher the meaning, but her soothing tone continued to calm the turmoil within him.
And then, abruptly, everything changed. Pain flared on his neck, like two needles piercing his skin, and memories surged forth from the depths of his clouded mind. He remembered this pain, and the anticipated pleasure that soon followed. He knew as well that the same creature caused these sensations before. Curious sounds reached his ears—the sounds of gulping and sucking—melding seamlessly with the euphoria that coursed through his veins.
The woman's grip on him tightened, her actions transitioning from tenderness to ruthless power. Her moans turned into groans, and a mix of pleasure and agony coursed through him. Something was very wrong, and he knew he had to make her stop.
His memory remained a fragmented puzzle, but amidst the chaos, he recalled the only thing he could - his dreams and the dark angel who had guided him through the abyss. Her name surfaced in his thoughts. She was the only one that could help him now.
With a mighty effort, he opened his mouth and attempted to shout out loud, but only managed to muster a weak murmur.
"Maria... help me."
Surprisingly, the effect was instantaneous, his feeble words worked like a magic spell. The blonde woman released him, her eyes wide with a mix of awe, regret and fear. She covered her mouth with her hands in some weird embarrassment. A whirlwind of emotions must have raged within her, and it seemed she had finally realized the gravity of the situation. Tears welled up in her eyes as she turned away and hurried out of the room.
Ethan lay there in bewildered silence, frustration washing over him. He desperately wanted to make sense of all this, to piece together the puzzle in his brain. Blood stained his fingers as he touched his neck—the aftermath of an encounter he couldn't fully comprehend. He sensed the answer to all his questions was at hand but it was annoyingly remaining out of his reach. He tried to stand up and do something but it was all in vain, his strength was gone.
Yet, beneath it all, he felt a strange sense of gratitude. Despite this weird experience and uncertainty that had unfolded, he couldn't deny that his dark angel, Maria, had somehow helped him, twice now. And in his current state, that was the only thing he could be sure of.
As the morning rays hit the shades on the window, he closed his eyes, surrendering once more to the dreams that might take him to her again...
