Chapter 25 by Dexabyssin Dexabyssin

And Daphne ?

Sauna

(Jessica POV)

The two boys disappeared through the door, leaving only the girls and that filthy Leprechaun here. Jessica obviously kept this thought to herself. She'd come to understand that the people here didn't appreciate the way she talked.

Miss 'I'm smarter than everyone' was still trembling. After all, she'd gotten what she deserved, who could be so stupid as to do this?

Abigail stepped forward from Daphne and spoke.

"I know this must be hard to live with, but we have to pull ourselves together I suggest we finish breakfast first and then all go to the sauna. I understand there's one on this island."

"Good idea, plus there aren't any boys and we can spend the day as girls." Blanche replied.

Jessica hesitated: on the one hand, she had absolutely no desire to spend the day with those girls; on the other, time on this island would pass very slowly if she didn't chat with anyone and isolated herself in her room.

Hanna nodded as if to confirm her participation. This girl really had a problem it was too hard to give a real answer and communicate other than by nodding.

Breakfast went off without a hitch. The old women talked about their boring lives while the others pretended to be interested. The presence of the pink-haired green elf probably didn't help matters.

Fortunately, she had to leave when they decided to go in search of the sauna. After all, they didn't even know where it was.

"Didn't you say you knew where it was?" Says Jessica

"No, I said I knew there was one, but I don't know where it is. It's no big deal, we'll explore." Abigail replied.

Great, because we'd have to walk for miles to find it. Just great. The five girls set off together. With Blanche and Abigail holding Daphne on either side, Jessica found herself walking from Hanna, the quietest girl she'd ever met. It's not so hard to talk, though. There's a plethora of topics to talk about: Clothes, make-up, sports, boys, etc. However, when Jessica tried to **** the conversation and asked how Hanna occupied her day, the answer was disappointing.

"I, I, I like writing and reading. I also do computers." Hanna replied.

And another bookworm, just what we needed. But what was Nola thinking when she chose such a casting. Is this a sex show or a geek club?

They walked for almost an hour before finally arriving at the sauna. They seriously needed to rethink the direction signs on this island. Unless it was done on purpose, and getting to know this vicious Leprechaun, that wouldn't be surprising.

They entered the sauna and undressed before taking a white towel to cover their bodies. Luckily, there were individual changing cubicles. Hanna would probably have collapsed if she'd had to change in front of us.

The one who stood out the most was clearly Blanche. The young doctor seemed to have a problem keeping her towel around her torso with her tail wagging behind them. Jessica thought it must be deeply uncomfortable to sit down.

Once everyone was comfortable, Blanche spoke up.

"So, Hanna, are you ready for your date tomorrow? Have you come up with any ideas?"

Hanna seemed to panic when she heard the question. Jessica really wanted to slap her when she did that.

"I had an idea but, but, I don't know if it will be a good idea." Hanna replied, stammering.

"Maybe we can help you and give you some advice. You don't know Leo, but I'm sure together we can tell you all about him." Says Abigail.

Jessica thought it might be a good idea to listen. She could probably learn more about Leo.

"I'll start because I've known him the longest. What can I say about Leo? He's 24 and was born on January 5. He likes to think, discuss, and debate. He has a little brother Eric, and a little sister Ines." Says Abigail.

Jessica ticked at the date of birth. He'd been born on January 5. That meant they shared the same birth date. Was this a sign of fate? But why put her in a relationship with someone as mundane as Leo? Could it be that he was hiding juicy secrets that made him formidable and worthy of her?

"Her mother is a midwife, and her father is my boss. Her father is a surgeon, gynecologist, obstetrician, oncologist and associate professor of medicine." Says Blanche.

Jessica laughed when she heard this.

"It's a bit too much. He can't do everything at once," says Jessica.

"Leo's parents worked a lot when they were young and until recently his father always worked at least 70 hours a week." Said Abigail

Hanna seemed to be listening attentively as she asked a question.

"But why did they work so much? They couldn't have had money problems, could they?"

Abigail hesitated before answering.

"I'm not sure. Leo's parents have complicated relationships with their families as for his father I've always thought that apart from being a workaholic, he was also running away from his parental responsibilities." Says Abigail

Okay, so there are problems on the parents' side. Jessica thought. Is there any way to exploit this?

"Let's stop talking about her parents, it's not going to help Hanna. Daphne, you're his best friend, can you tell us what he likes?" asked Abigail.

Her friend should be able to tell me, Jessica thought. The problem was that Leo seemed particularly attached to her. So, she could quite easily pose a threat. Would it be possible to subtly persuade her to continue breaking the rules?

"Leo and I have been friends since we met at the start of the second year of high school. We sat next to each other by chance. And during Latin class we'd debated the relevance of depicting antiquity in film." Says Daphne

Ok so he's a history and antiquity geek. Is it okay if I dress up as a Roman Aphrodite with a nice white tunic?

"We remained friends even when we didn't find ourselves in the same classes later on. Leo and I shared our reading material, whether manga, novels, or comics. We even remained friends when I moved to another town for high school and found myself on the other side of the country. And while I often forgot to check in, Leo was always there to ask how things were going if I was adapting well. I realize now that I didn't deserve the attention, he gave me. He made every effort to maintain our relationship and all I could think about was working to continue excelling in class." Says Daphne.

Although maybe it won't be so hard to get her to forget Daphne if she's so unreliable, Jessica thought.

"Don't worry Daphne, Leo will forgive you. I'm even willing to bet he's already forgiven you years ago." Said Abigail.

Oh no, that wasn't good at all - it was imperative that Leo didn't forgive Daphne, otherwise she'd be able to impose herself and crush everyone. Why am I the only one who realizes she's a threat? wondered Jessica.

In any case, they were beginning to overstay their welcome in the sauna, and eventually came out and went their separate ways. Each of them must have had something to think about for a while.

Eric night
