The three had known each other since High school, with David having met Romeo during his freshman year and Cynthia during his senior year, and they even lived at the same small apartment complex located several blocks away from the school. None of them shared an apartment, though. All three of their parents could afford to put them up in fairly decent one-bedroom apartments, to which they were all thankful. They enjoyed the freedom that came with living alone, and while the three dorks didn't mind spending time with each other, they all knew that it wouldn't be long after hypothetically moving in together that they would start bickering and arguing about things like personal space and sharing the living room.

David, for lack of a better word, was gorgeous. His face wasn't necessarily rugged and handsome, nor was it very round and girlish, but it was very easy on the eyes. He always kept his short blonde hair freshly cut, and his hygiene was immaculate. If anyone aside from David himself asked someone what they thought of his looks, that someone would probably say that he was either good-looking or a straight-up cutie. That someone may also comment on the fact that he could be a model if he wasn't five-foot-seven, and they might actually say that it was a shame he kept to himself so much. To David, he would blame his inability to find a girlfriend (or boyfriend, if he could keep it a secret from his parents) on the fact that he was short, but in reality it was because he was a shy dork who didn't know how to approach good looking people and express his feelings towards them.

Romeo, on the other hand, was an enigma. He had a strange sort of Charisma that worked on strange people, and he could be outgoing at times, sure, but his mug wasn't very good-looking, his body odor was brutal in small rooms and the like, his short brown hair was usually greasy and unkempt, and he didn't understand that it wasn't appropriate to blatantly stare and smile at attractive women like they were like a juicy, freshly-cooked steak that he was ready to sink his teeth into. He was tall and his physique was actually pretty impressive from regular exercise and playing JV/Varsity Tennis for all of High school, but his shark-like eyes, big goofy ears, large mouth and lips, narrow head, and poor social skills had turned him into a similar sort of recluse that his best friend was.

Cynthia, who is a bit strange herself, wasn't bad looking, but she wasn't a pillar of beauty. She was a bit overweight, but she wasn't obese. That aside, the two dorks accepted her as one of their own fairly quickly, and they've all spent quite a bit of time together since then.

About five more minutes of walking and listening to Romeo talk about his professor's breasts, they all eventually said their goodbyes and parted ways at the apartment complex.

David went up some stairs, found his apartment, unlocked the door, and then strolled in.
