Pardoned
It was a big day for Moses. Based on the letter from Richard exonerating him, the Governor was pardoning him. It didn't make up for the many years in prison, but this minor act, coupled with his fiancee, Elizabeth, at his beck and call, wasn't bad.
The Governor shook his hand in the photo op. Moses looked at the fine leather chair and scowled.
That should be my seat, you fucking cracker, he thought, but Elizabeth's kiss brought him back to even keel. One day.
