“I’m trying!” Answered XxX_Flamin_Shadow_Thorn_674XxX agitated. “You’re not easy to reach, you know?”

“Just a little more…” Tara furiously clicked and tapped, her face crawling closer to the screen. “…And he’s down!”

Cheers and congratulations were heard from the headset, Tara herself raising her arms in jubilation. “We finally got that bastard. It took us weeks, but we did it!”

“God, I could go for another quest.” Spoke another gamer. “Are you guys joining me?”

At that time, Tara’s doorbell rung, smiling in anticipation. “Maybe another time. See you guys tomorrow.” She shut off the game, and got up from her chair…

Completely in the nude. Tara made it a habit to game in the nude, since it felt more free and exciting. Something she could afford, since she lived alone anyways.

Putting on a fluffy bathrobe, she grabbed her package from the mailman a little too eagerly. She had barely even closed the door behind her or she already unpacked the box. “It’s finally here! The Vision Mission!” She looked at the device. It looked like your standard VR headset, but it took one step further.

It would temporarily shut down certain motor functions, so one could do whatever you want without risk of running into walls. It could also recreate all five senses to an eerily accurate level. Despite it being highly controversial, Tara was glad that she was chosen as one of the beta testers. She threw her robe on the floor, set down on her chair and installed the headset. “Future of gaming, here I come!”

She flipped the switch on, feeling a slight twitch through her spine. A second later, she found herself in a blue room with a selection of games to chose from. But as she walked forward, she didn’t notice that none of her motor functions were stopped and that she walked in the real world as well.
