A picnic with Freya

After getting their food and placing it in a storage cube, Ethan guided Freya out of the city of Mondstadt.

Ethan was thinking on where to take Freya for their date. "Maybe Starsnatch cliffs?" Ethan mumbled as they walked.

He wanted the place to be special.

"Stop right there!" They stopped and looked behind them to see an out of breath Mona.

"... Can we help you?" Ethan asked.

"What exactly are you two?!" Mona demanded as she strode up to the two. "I've been trying to get a read on both of you but you aren't showing on my charts!"

Ethan snorted while Freya looked a bit fascinated by Mona.

"We're just travellers." Ethan responded. "Nothing weird."

"Is that so?" Mona stepped back and started using hydro to show a circle, the way she normal use to read constellations.

"See! I get nothing!" Ethan saw the circle break right away. "You aren't human!" She pointed a finger at us.

"... Well sorry if I upset you." Ethan smiled. "But right now I have a date." He nodded to Freya. "But if you want an explanation, I can always provide you with one when I come back." Ethan stepped closer to Mona and cupped her cheek.

This made the girl blush in surprise. "I... I I'll hold you to that!" Mona stepped back. "I'll be waiting in Mondstadt for you!" She stomped away blushing.

Freya rolled her eyes. "Must you do that?"

"Sorry Freya but you know how I am." Ethan apologized.

"... at least not during our date." Freya sighed. "Do you have a place in mind?"

"Yup, hang on tight." Ethan wrapped an arm around Freya and then used his speed to run towards their destination.

Freya stumbled as Ethan stopped, she gasped as they were on top of a large cliff. The view was incredible.

"Maybe a bit too high but I don't think you'll mind." Ethan said as he took out the storage box and started to take stuff out.

"Not at all." Freya smiled as she continued to admire the view, the ocean on one side and the forest on the other side, you could see everything from up here.

She could also see some landmarks in the distance, way far off.

"Done!" Freya turned to see Ethan finished setting up a large blanket on the floor with rocks to keep the blanket from flying away, with the food they bought placed on the blanket with cups for the wine they bought.

"Romantic setting is it not?" Ethan grinned.

Freya smiled and sat on the blanket. "It is, you really know how to treat a lady."

"I do my best." Ethan sat down as well and took some of the chicken and took a bite.

Freya tried the soup and hummed in delight at the taste. "This tastes amazing, maybe I should try making it myself next time." She licked her lips.

"I can get you the recipe." Ethan poured some dandelion wine into the cups and handed her one.

Freya took a sip and hummed. "Unique taste." She muttered.

"Mondstadt is known for it's wine." Ethan told her. "I have some back home just for special occasions."

Freya raised an eyebrow. "What else do you have there?"

"Ingredients and foods from multiple worlds." Ethan shrugged. "I think I have some food from your world as well. Honestly I can't remember because I let Aoi and Wanda do most of the food shopping."

"I'll ask them when we go back." Freya told him as she drank some of the wine.

"... That bard is watching us." Freya sighed, just wanting some peace.

Ethan chuckled. "I got it." He told her.

Venti watched from a distance, how did they get here so fast?

None of them have visions and it seemed like the woman was a tad more powerful than the man.

Venti kinda wanted to barge in but that would be very rude since this looked like a date.

Venti jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"So what's a bard doing all the way out here?" Ethan asked as he was now behind Venti.

"What... How?" Venti looked at Ethan and then at the duo still eating.

"I believe I should be asking, what's the god of anemo doing watching us?" Ethan asked him.

Venti stiffened but he should've expected it, they didn't feel mortal so they could probably sense his power. "Just... curious."

"Curiosity killed the cat." Ethan smirked.

"Oho? Well I'm allergic to cats." Venti grinned.

"Listen, we're not here to cause trouble, just visiting to go on a date... And maybe see the sights." Ethan answered.

"Hmm okay! As long as it's just that." Venti smiled. "Venti the bard at your service."

"Ethan Kenway." He introduced himself. "The woman is Freya, I hope we satisfied your curiosity?"

"Will you tell me what you are?"

"No, even if you're cute." Ethan smirked.

"Ehe?" Venti went red, that was unexpected. "Come on, I'm even more curious now."

"Maybe another time, I'll come find you, cya!" Ethan poofed out of existence.

Venti blinked before looking back.

"I envy your cloning technique." Freya gave Ethan a look.

"Hehe." Ethan smirked as he kissed her cheek. "Love you too."
