(Blanche POV)

Blanche's night had barely begun and already she was fed up. In fact, this young doctor is on duty tonight. Because of the shortage of doctors in the department, she had to stay on several times a week to manage the night shift. These sleepless nights several times a week were really starting to get on her nerves. And it was even worse when she was surrounded by incompetents and couldn't even find 15 minutes for a nap. To think she could be relaxing in bed with her cats, watching a series on Netflix.

Okay, I admit the program doesn't seem very exciting to most people, but for her it was a good evening. She pushed these thoughts from her mind, now she had a woman to save.

Blanche collapsed into her chair in her office. Finally, a moment of calm. She'd already operated 3 times in the evening and frankly hoped she wouldn't need to do anything more.
