Taking Responsibility (Red POV)

The two of you quickly wash up and then step out of the shower. You and Amber quickly dry yourselves off before putting your clothes back on.

"So... what now?" You ask looking at her stomach.

"What do you mean?" She asks.

"I came inside you. You might get pregnant," you remind her. "Can't you just take a morning-after pill or something?"

"Uh, I... don't have one," she stammers. "I have no money. I can't afford the pill or a checkup."

"Oh, I see," you say remembering that any birth control other than condoms is quite expensive. "Well, if it comes to that, I will take responsibility," you tell her. "I'll help support you and the child."

"What?! No! That's not fair to you! You can't stop your journey because of me."

"Hey, I offered, didn't I?" you say, putting your arm around her. "And anyway, it was my fault for not pulling out when I had the chance. I'm a big boy, I can handle it."

Amber chuckles. "You are such a goof," she says. "Anyway, let's finish getting dressed and get going. I wanna be in Pewter City by the end of the week," she suggests, as she puts on her hat and grabs her bag.

"Sounds good to me," you reply, putting on your shirt and picking up your backpack.

You walk into the living area with Amber and see Pikachu sitting on the window sill, staring outside. When he hears you enter the main room, one of his ears turns around to listen.

"Hey buddy," you greet him.

Pikachu turns around and gives you a big smile, his tail wagging happily. He jumps down and rushes towards you, jumping into your arms.

"Did anything happen while we were in the shower?" You ask.

Pikachu gestures towards the window. "I saw a Nidoking and a Nidoqueen fighting but they are gone now," it informs you.

"I see, thank you."

You put Pikachu down and he goes back to looking out the window.

"Is everything alright?" Amber asks, coming up behind you.

"Yeah, it was just some wild Pokémon fighting," you explain. "But they are gone now."

"That's good," she sighs, relieved.

The three of you finish getting ready. After using one of the Potions and the Full Heal to get your Charmander back into tip-top shape, you, Pikachu, and Amber prepare to leave the cabin.

"Alright then, let's head out," you say, leading the way out of the cabin.

The door creaks as you push it open, revealing a bright and sunny day. A fresh breeze blows, causing the leaves of the trees to sway. The air smells sweet and crisp, with the faint scent of flowers, and not a single cloud in the sky.

As you walk down the path, Pikachu skips along beside you, humming happily.

You can't help but smile at Pikachu's infectious joy. Amber follows, staying close by your side.

"So, do you have any theories about the journal?" she asks, referring to the mysterious notebook.

"Not yet," you admit. "But it's strange that someone would be living out here and studying the forest."

"Maybe they were trying to understand some mysterious things happening in Viridian Forest," Amber suggests.

"Or maybe they were part of the mystery themselves," you counter, your imagination getting the best of you.

Amber laughs. "Well, whatever the truth is, I'm sure we'll find out."

The forest is quiet as you walk, with only the occasional rustle nearby or the chirping of Pokemon flying above you. breaking the silence. The sun shines down through the canopy, dappling the path with rays of light.

You notice the forest seems to be growing more dense, the trees closer together. You spot a few wild Pokemon darting around in the undergrowth, but they quickly scurry away.

Suddenly a loud crashing sound echoes through the forest, startling all three of you.

"What was that?" Amber asks, sounding concerned.

"It came from behind us," you say, turning back. "Sounds like someone's fighting."

"Should we go and see what's going on?" Amber inquires.

You consider the options. On one hand, it might be dangerous to get involved in a fight. On the other, you can't ignore someone who needs help.
