The Intern Spills the Beans

Over the course of the next hour the Intern tells Jessica what she knows. Which ends up being a quite a lot. Turn out that Henry's affairs had been happening for quite a while, and yes their had been multiple. Were still multiple. Other lawyers in the firm, lawyers from other firms, girls at parties for the clients, and then there were the clients themselves. So many clients...

While Rebecca didn't know a lot of specifics of what the law firm's clients were doing, what little she DID know worried Jessica. Because not only was Power Fist not the only Super Client Henry worked for, he wasn't the only Super Villain Henry worked for. Henry wasn't even the only one of the firm's lawyers who worked for supervillains. It seemed the entire law firm was in on it.

Jessica had known that Henry was a defense attorney, but she had been under the impression that the firm represented local business owners. When Jessica had commented on that, Rebecca's reply had been a flippant. "Organized Crime IS Business."

Rebecca would have told Jessica more about the criminal activities, but she had only been Henry's intern for a few months. Besides, as an intern she wasn't trusted with a lot of details. Which only made Jessica wonder. If an intern was able to gather this much dirt in just a few months, there must be a LOT more dirt to uncover.

What she COULD give was details about the affairs...

Now that Jessica knew a little more, she simply had to confront Henry...

Which is what she was trying to do now. "How long has this been going on Henry!?"

"Oh, and what ever are you talking about Jessica?" Even now he was trying to lie to her, to play dumb and deflect. He WAS a lawyer after all.

"Lets start with your affairs..."

"Oh, what affairs Jessica?"

"Oh, lets start with the intern, and co-worker, oh and lets not forget about your client! I'd threaten to tell you bosses but from what I understand your entire firm is in on it!" That had been the biggest revelation honestly. The affairs made sense considering his lost of interest in you. But the revelation that the entire firm seemed to be defending not just local business owners but supervillains as was NOT something you had been expecting.

Henry seems to think it over for a moment, "Fine, but I want dual custody. Fifty Fifty."

Jessica is about to argue, a part of her wants to argue. A sentiment that GG seems to agree with. "No, FUCK THAT! Why should we take that from him!"

"We are going to take it GG because I don't have the money to fight him on it." Speaking to Henry, Jessica clenches her jaw as she speaks. "Fine. Lets not drag this out anymore then we need to."

Grinning as if he just won, "I'm glad you can still see reason Jessica."

Author's Notes: So yeah, Henry is sleeping with a SUPER VILLAIN! Which means now I need /get to figure out who this "Super Villain" that Henry is sleeping with is. Oh, maybe I'll promote Henry to Super Villain status later?

Update: Yeah, I felt like I needed to extend the dialogue at the end a LITTLE bit. I was in too much of a hurry originally to just get the scene over with.
