Chapter 3 by BlackieWanJenobi BlackieWanJenobi

Where does she goes next?

She goes looking for a tavern

Monika quickly immersed herself into the dense crowd that gathered near the gate. She knew that she wasn’t exactly inconspicuous and that many people would definitely be able to remember her, so it was wise if she quickly got out of the dust. Ordluhn was a confusing labyrinth of winding streets and buildings, perfect for losing one’s trace. Still, if a prosecutor at the gate asks for her, it wouldn’t take long for a group of people to be able to point the way.

At first, she had planned to go directly to the port and book a passage, but it was already late and the ships would not leave with the flood until tomorrow. Therefore, it seemed more favorable to her to look for a night quarter in a tavern and find out which ships sailed to the city-states beyond the sea.

So Red Monika let herself drift through the crowd for a while and wander her gaze over the houses, taverns and shops. There was haggling, fighting, and arguing everywhere. No one seemed to bother much when a thief was persecuted or two men fought each other or fought with knives for life and ****. On her way, Monika passed three bodies that were simply left behind after they were killed and then robbed. One of the dead bodies has just been dragged into a dark side street by a few small figures. The red-haired beauty didn't even want to think about what the creatures were up to with the corpse.

The red-haired beauty endured some suggestive comments and clear offers from temporary passers-by and responded with short, snappy remarks or by sheer ignoring. She broke the nose of a particularly intrusive orc who grabbed her ass, impressing and warding away his cronies with a quick blow. After that, she had some rest until she was a few corners away, where no one had noticed her demonstration.

Finally, she reached a small square near the port where there was an inn. The wind skewed sign hanging over the door revealed the name of the tavern: "To the rolling bear." The store didn't exactly look like a noble descent, but you couldn't really expect that in Ordluhn. Just as Monika was about to go to the door, a hissing voice penetrated her ear from the side: "Hey, beauty. Over here."

The hot bounty hunter paused and turned around. At the half-opened gate of a run-down stable leaned a guy who was either particularly ugly or had to be a half-human who had any difficult-to-identify non-human ancestors in his bloodline. With a short gesture, he greeted the bounty hunter and waved at her.

How does Monika react to this stranger? Does she continue to her main goal?
