Settling In

"I'm watching the place for her as while she's doing her South American tour," Joseph explained to Vanesa's landlord. The portly balding man had come suddenly that morning as Vanesa had asked him to so they could discuss rent.

"I see...she didn't mention anything about that..." the man said in thought. "She did not tell about the rent issue?"

"No. What was the issue?" Joseph asked.

"She could not make the 5150 a month rate and wanted to do a three month plan. I could do that...but I would need that 15k now..."

"I can take her care of her rent," Joseph said as he pulled out his phone. "Where do I send the money to?" He had been living in his new place for nearly a week now and since then had sold off Vanesa's vintage BMW and most of her belongings. He had a small fortune. He really did not want to pay rent...he would have to figure something else out later but for the time being he could pay what this man wanted just to get him to leave.

With the rent taken care the man bid Joseph farewell and told him to enjoy the place. Joseph stepped back into his warehouse and let the garage door rattle close behind him. He smiled at the two women posed around the space that he was working on to be his gallery. It seemed that Vanesa was going to do the same with the space as she had some display stands in storage. The pair had been just standing out in the open for the landlord to see and the man did not say a word so Joseph figured he just took it in as 'art work'.

Lily stood with her blonde hair was let down and fell just past her shoulders. She was dressed in biker vest that hugged her well-shaped torso while her lower half was in a leather mini skirt and fishnets with biker boots completing look. It was a closest outfit that Joseph could get to resemble what she had worn to their school's musical production of 'Married with Children'. Lily had her hands behind her back and stood with legs crossed at the knees while her chin was jutted up, a flirtatious smile on her lips while her blue eyes remained blank.

Kelly was a few paces from Lily. The red head was in a red haired wig that gave her hair a hive-like do. Her face was heavily made-up while she was dressed in skimpy leopard skin top and tight dark calf-length leggings with high heel fuzzy mules completed her look. The wig and outfit had actually come from the theater department that Joseph had manage to steal a few days ago. He was happy that he had his own Katy Segal knock-off. Kelly stood with her hands on her hips and her chest jutted out. Her face bore a smug smile that did not quite reach her eyes. She and Lily looked perfect standing next to one another. A near perfect albeit fake mother and daughter pair.

Joseph let his eyes wander the pair for a beat before he nodded and left them. He was quite happy of how they turned out as his first display. He head towards the workshop where there were a set of stairs that would take him to the upstairs apartment.
