Goblins, the fate of the goblins, a demoness
During the morning routine Ambriel cleans herself form the cum as she could, but probably miss some spot.
She prays, and hope that nothing grow in her.
the heavens send her a warm ray of sun that gives her sustenance and food for the day
She is glad that she usn't forgotten by the heavens
Ambriel can hear some creatures chat nearby. the amulet translates the language and she can make out a shaman of some sort chewing out a goblin guard that apparently left his post to sneak away. the guard is unwilling to tell the shaman what he did while sneaking away. others seem to be there but very quiet
Ambriel stays hidden, but tries to listen to the end of the discussion, also counting/guessing how many gobelin there may be around
she guesses about 5 goblins including the shaman. the talk they have ends with the guard having to carry all the heavy stuff as apunishment, but he is adamant in not sharing what he did last night.
she tries to follow quietly if there some item droped or lost on their way
Ambriel is quite sure the guard is her nightly visitor. what else could he have done that would need hiding.
she can follow the goblins quietly but they don't drop anything
Ambriel ponders the value of attacking that small troop only to get revenge on one of them, it could be dangerous...
it would be risky, the shaman using magic, that could go bad... Ambriel still follow them quietly for a while, if their den is near...
suddenly there is a lot of commotion in front. the goblins seem to have run into an enemy. the shaman shouts for them to get together and avert their eyes, a hissing is to be heard and followed by panicked screaming.
Ambriel doesn't interveen, leting the forest be their judge.
But she try to stay hidden for both parties, waiting for a safe getaway
the remaining goblins run away, one of them passing Ambriel really close, but he doesn't pay any attention to her.
Ambriel can hear the shaman shout an incantation that comes to an abrupt end. then its silence. when she peeks out after a while she sees two goblin statues standing nearby, but no traces of the attacker
feeling safe enough Ambriel looks around if this time, some items were dropped by the gobelins
their tents, some cutlery and cooking equipment is lying around, scattered on the scene of the one sided fight
Ambriel pick up the cooking equipement that she can carry, AND that she guess clean enough
Ambriel grabs a big pot, a kettle and a tripod for the kettle and pot. that is about all she can carry, or rather have cherub carry it for her
with some rope, Ambriel make some contraption that make Cherib carry some stuff without bothering him in its movements
leaving the statues of the gobelins, Ambriel resumes her journey, still searching for an exit
Ambriel comes across the marks of a battle. two enemies have faced each other in the forest, blood has been spilled on the ground and splattered on the trees. it seemed th have been a fierce battle
she looks for clues on who has been the warriors
it is clear to Ambriel that both combatans were humanoid, with one being more bestial and the other armed and armored. claw marks indicate the attacker to be the bestial one while cut down branches and bushes put a sword in the other warriors hand. who won is not clear. there are tracks of the loser getting dragged off by the victor though
it has been a battle of epicness, but Ambriel is glad she had not to face any of those guys right now. Who won and what hapenned after that is a mysterie and should stay that way... for her sake.
So unless there are items dropped, there is no sane reason to stay any longer around here.
Ambriel tries to stay away from the obvious paths and the tracks. she doesn't run into the assailant, but into a rather gruesome sight
someone made a clearing in the woods around a big monolith. several humanoids are there, tied to wooden contraptions and severly hurt, with blood on their naked bodies. from what Ambriel can see they are all female and rather weak, but they seem to be alive. the monolith is smeared with their blood someone has drawn crude markings and glyphs on the stone
(low voice) "ritual, magical glyphs, blood, naked females, that doesn't seems good..."
she tries to locate the cultists, or at least peoples in charge of that ritual
there is not ritual going on, and whoever captured all these women doesn't seem to be nearby at the moment. the victims all seem rather out of themselves, they haven't noticed Ambriel yet and are unlikely to by themselves
"Cherub, we need to untie them, start by that side, i take the other"
Ambriel wlaks in the ritual zone and cut the tie with a blade
hoping she can get to the center to cast her angelic aura of purity to restore all thoses people's minds
Ambriel unties the first few women and her aura pulls them out of their stupor. they begin to cry and stammer being incoherent with what happened, but Ambriel gets a picture when only a few women are left and she hears a hellish scream from the edge of the clearing. a demoness stands there, angry at Ambriel for getting her victims free. she has a nother woman at her side that is bloody and hurt, most likely the loser of the fight Ambriel had seen earlier
the demoness charges Ambriel
Ambriel manage to sidestep and avoid the charge
she then attack the demoness, while Cherub is afar and couldn't help for the moment
the blade bites deep, soliciting a hiss from her before she attacks again with her whip
motivated with her rightous action, Ambriel dances around the whip
after a dance move, Ambriel swings her scimitar
the attack misses
another bad swipe with the claw
Attacks are exanged between Ambriel and the demoness but no-one hits for a while.
Cherub finished to freed people and came back to help, charging the demoness
And Ambriel tries again
That scimita is a powerful weapon, it gave Ambriel a decisive manoever, and she win.
the demoness is down
in the times before that forest, Ambriel would have not spared the demoness.... But now tthat she herself had made some pacts, she sees that there can be some errors and bad choices... so she ties the demoness to the altar, without her stuff, hoping all the females could be saved until she wake up
the demoness is out cold for a few hours at least. the girls are unsure of what to do
Ambriel tries to give them a speech to motivate them to go ro safety in groups, to cooperate within themselves to make some good in the forest
motivated by Ambriel they decide to stay together and try and do their best
"That was a heroic action and good for the soul! now, time to make a camp"
Ambriel goes away from that ritual to make her camp
