One advantage to the new naked lifestyle Melanie had been **** into, temporarily at least, was that it was a real time saver. Once she and Anna had showered, dried themselves and fixed their hair they were ready to go. There wasn't any laundry to do later either.

"Have you decided who should go?" Anna asked as she tied her dark blonde hair back into a ponytail.

"Yeah, I had an idea actually. I figure if we went together we would get less points, plus one of us going out there naked might be considered an eccentric free spirit whereas the two of us would probably be a local news story."

"I agree" Anna nodded "Although it would mean only one of us getting any points."

"That's why I think we should take it it turns. One of us gets the eggs and milk, the other gets bread and bacon. It also means we split the cost of breakfast."

"Wow, you have it all figured out Mel!" Anna smiled "It sounds like a plan to me. But who goes first?"

"Do you mind if you do?" Melanie asked a little awkwardly "I have a couple of things to sort out here."

"Sure, why not? Gets it out of the way!" Anna answered cheerily, as if this were just a normal errand run, and grabbed her bag from the coffee table "The shop is just around the corner on the right yeah?"

Melanie smiled gratefully and nodded. Anna stopped and took a deep breath as she stood at the front door, the first indication she was at all nervous at what she was about to do, before opening it and stepping outside.

As the door shut behind Anna, Melanie felt her heart starting to thump a little louder in her chest. In ten minutes time that would be her. In retrospect she probably should have gone first, this wait was going to be interminable. but she wanted the assurance of seeing Anna get through it okay first. That may have been selfish of her, but this was going to be hard enough as it was.

Right now Melanie felt just as exposed as she had done when her clothes had first vanished. Sure, she had been building her Naked Ambition score nicely up until now but the training wheels hadn't really come off yet and the tough part was about to begin. Since she lost her clothes only three people had actually seen Melanie - two she turned out to be mutually attracted to so they hardly counted, and the third was a harmless old woman. Once she was out of the building it would be impossible to control who saw her naked and she could run into just about anyone. A chill went down her spine as an unpleasant thought suddenly hit her. Was it Angela on the counter at her local shop today or her awful husband Barry who openly perved on Melanie even when she was fully clothed? She tried to reassure herself that it the mornings it was usually Angela, at least as far as she could remember.

Another thought was preoccupying the nudity cursed girls mind. What exactly were her and Anna now? This morning they were acting as if the two of them were firm friends but last night they had been far more than that. Had they just been a pleasant distraction for each other in a time of crisis or were they something more? Either way both had partners, though John had never been able to make Melanie feel as horny and alive as she did last night.

Before too long Melanie's chain of thought was interrupted by the door buzzer. Not wanting to leave her friend stranded out in the communal stairwell any for longer than she needed to Melanie jumped up and opened the door. A seemingly untraumatised Anna shuffled past her and back into the apartment clutching a bottle of milk and a carton of eggs.

"Wow, you did it!" Melanie was genuinely impressed "How was it?"

"Not that bad actually" Anna sounded a little out of breath "I went as quickly as I could. There aren't that many people out. Obviously I got a lot of stares, a few wolf whistles. But I just kept saying the phrase and nobody gave me any trouble. Oh except the guy at the counter was a bit creepy."

"Barry?" Melanie's face fell.

"Yeah, that's him. He seemed really pervy. When I said I was a friend of yours he said you two were close and wanted to know if you would be turning up naked too."

"Me close with Barry? Yuck!" Melanie felt sick "What did you tell him?"

"I said I had no idea about that" Anna looked concerned for her friend "If you want me to go again I can. You shouldn't have to expose yourself to someone who obviously has a thing for you."

"Thanks, but I need to do this" Melanie decided, though she was grateful for her new friends support "What did it do for your score?"

"I'm up to 55%" Anna beamed, justifiably proud of herself.

Melanie, inspired by her friends bravery, decided it was time to follow suit. She picked up her bag and threw her keys into it.

"Okay, I won't be long!" Melanie called to Anna as she left the safety of her flat and made her way from her building to the outside world.
