The next day at school I approach Ms.Bailey before class. "Ms.Bailey, I have a question about the typo on yesterday's cast list." I nervously approach her desk, her piercing eyes staring into me. "What typo?" She asks, the faintest sign of a smile showing on her plump red lips. I get a little more nervous and fidgety, "The cast list! You had me listed as Fantine, and clearly that can't be correct, if you haven't noticed I'm not a girl!" I ask her with an air of annoyance in my voice, she should understand my frustrations. "Zane, there was no mistake, you are the best actor in this school, proabably in the state, I thought you would relish the opportunity to show your range, I mean such a masculine boy such as yourself playing a woman! It would take a great deal of acting to make anyone believe that." She smirks as she says all this, and all I can do is get even more upset with myself, I should've known Ms.Bailey had my best interests at heart, but still I'm very uncomfortable with the idea of playing a woman.

"Ms.Bailey, I appreciate your idea, but really I would feel more comfortable in a male role." I look into her eyes and am briefly reminded of a lion stalking it's prey, those seductive eyes and her plump lips, she is the very definition of beauty. "Well, Zane, I'm very disappointed in you, I give you the role of a lifetime and you get caught up in trivial matters like gender, I have no other roles for you, so if you are rejecting my offer then you are out of the play." A big smile has formed on her lips unable to contain itself any longer, she is truly ecstatic, one way or the other she wins, either Zane quits and she can enjoy her after school rehearsals without his overbearing prescence or she gets to humiliate him. She licks her lips as Zane ponders his decision.
