With a sigh, Kael leaves his room, walking once again across the hall to Evie’s closed door. He slowly opens it, walking inside. Evie is sitting on the bed, her knees up to her chest and her face in her hands. She’s clearly upset, not that it wasn’t obvious before.

Kael walks over and sits down beside her. “Evie?”

Evie slowly lifts her head, her eyes wet with tears. “I’m so sorry, master. I shouldn’t have…it just felt…I don’t know…”

He gently places a hand on her shoulder, and he can feel her shivering. Instinctively, he moves to put his arm around her. Evie leans against him closing her eyes, though her tears still flow. Kael thinks for a moment before speaking.

“Evie, why are you apologizing?”

She takes a shuddering breath. “I…I kissed you, master. That’s not…slaves don’t get to do that.”

Kael shakes his head. “And if I say that I don’t mind? That I enjoyed it?”

She looks up at him. “Truly? Master, what are you saying?”

Kael sighs. “I’ll be plain with you, Evie. I like you. You rid me of the nightmares that plagued me. You’re very pretty. And you seem starved for affection of any kind. I don’t want to take advantage of my supposed power over you, so I’m letting you progress at your pace.”

He looks into her eyes. “So you have nothing to apologize for. I enjoyed the kiss, even if it surprised me a little. And if you did as well, then you’re welcome to…”

Kael is interrupted as Evie suddenly leans in, kissing him. This time, there’s no hesitancy, and she practically throws herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing against him as she kisses him. The kiss is passionate, their tongues dancing together as the world seems to fade around them. Evie moves to straddle Kael, and he puts his arms around her waist, hugging her slim body tightly.

Evie finally breaks the kiss, both of them breathing hard as they stare into each other’s eyes. Kael gently rubs her back, and he sees the dawning of a smile on her beautiful, elven face. After a few moments, she sighs, leaning forward and resting her head on his shoulder.

“Thank you, master. You’re…wonderful.”

Kael chuckles, still rubbing her back. “Now, no more fleeing to the bedroom, okay? We’re starting to make a habit of it. If you want a hug, just say so.

Evie actually giggles. “Yes, master. I’ll definitely do that.”

Holding her like this, straddling him, makes Kael intensely aware of her as a woman. He can feel her pressed against him, her breasts against his chest, her butt on his hips. Now that the drama has subsided, he can’t help his growing arousal, and seated like she is, it’s immediately obvious to her.

She shifts slightly, which doesn’t help. “Master…I feel that.”

Kael nods. “Sorry, Evie. Can’t help it.”

Evie sits up, looking nervously at him. “Master, I…I’ve never done anything like this before. That was my first kiss, even. I was taught about…things, but…”

Kael nods. “But you’ve never done it.”

Evie sighs. “Yes, master. I want to, but…I’m scared, master. Can we…can you just hold me again tonight?”

Kael smiles, and gently kisses her, drawing out her smile once again. “Of course, Evie. I’ll never **** you to do anything you don’t want to.”

“Thank you, master. You’re so kind to me.”

Evie slides off of him, and they lie down together. Evie snuggles up against Kael’s chest, and Kael drapes his arm over her. Evie sighs, closing her eyes and smiling.

“I feel…safe. Warm. Even…happy. I never thought I’d be happy, master. I can never thank you enough.”

Kael doesn’t answer, just kissing her on the forehead. Comfortable in his arms, Evie closes her eyes, still smiling. Soon, her breathing settles into a comfortable rhythm, as she drifts into sleep. Kael lies awake for a while, just watching the beautiful elf in his arms.
