Girls Notice the Change

The next day, Yaoyorozu's friends noticed she was in a much better mood than yesterday, but she seemed a little sore, which they attributed to the effects of her cold.

What was certain was that she was in high spirits, very smiley, and with a slight blush on her cheeks. Another thing they noticed about her was that she was particularly friendly with Mineta that day; you could even say she was acting very affectionate with him.

"Girls, don't you think Yaoyorozu is...a little strange today?" Mina Ashido said.

The pink-haired girl was eating in the cafeteria with the other girls and took advantage of Yaoyorozu's absence to speak.

"Now that you mention it, I saw her walking around in some pain a little while ago...Ribbit," Tsuyu Asu said.

"Maybe it's nothing; you might still be getting over your cold," Ochaco Uraraka chimed in.

Ashido frowned and pursed her lips tightly in a show of anger.

“No! I meant her attitude towards Mineta. I swear I saw her secretly winking at him in the last class,” she protested.

This left the other girls, who knew perfectly well how little interaction those two had, bewildered.

“Are you serious, Ashido? No, you wouldn’t have imagined it,” Kyoka Jiro interjected, surprised.

“I thought the same thing, and when I looked at her again, she did it again, with a huge grin!” Ashido said with even more emphasis.

Now the group was surprised by this strange behavior from her towards someone she had always disliked.

“Well, maybe she was just being nice to him, and nothing more,” Uraraka tried to explain, not very convinced.

The pink-haired girl shook her head in firm denial.

“No, no, no, there’s something else going on. I have a nose for these things. Maybe those two are…”

“How ridiculous! She would never be interested in someone like… like… him,” Jiro interrupted, sounding annoyed.

“It’s true…Yaoyorozu has always had impeccable character in every aspect of her life. She wouldn’t stoop to doing anything inappropriate, especially not with Mineta…Ribbit,” Asu said more calmly.

They all fell silent, deep in thought. Then another girl joined the conversation without the others noticing.

“Do you really think Yaoyorozu and Mineta are dating?” It was Toru Hagakure, whom no one had seen until now.

“Hagakure, since when…!” Ashido exclaimed, jumping up.

“For the past few minutes, didn’t you see me?…Never mind, getting back to the topic, I did notice something strange about Yaoyorozu today.”

“What did you see?” Uraraka asked, even more curious.

“Um…you know, with my Quirk I can see and hear things more easily…earlier I…I heard Yaoyorozu tell Mineta she loved him,” the invisible girl said in a low voice.

That definitely left everyone speechless, and right at that precise moment, Momo walked by, looking happy as if nothing had happened.
