After asking about the third part of her punishment Batgirl waited for Doctor Kellerman to answer the dread flowing through her. Finally, after a few minutes, doctor Kellerman began to speak.
"What's the third part of your punishment" Doctor Kellerman said back to Batgirl almost as if he was mocking her. " well that's simple the unknown my dear" Doctor Kellerman said to Batgirl who looked puzzled.
"What do you mean the unknown?" Batgirl screamed at the doctor.
"Simply what I said my dear I'm sure you noticed when you awoke your mask was still on you're head but can you be sure we didn't remove it and just put it back on"? Doctor Kellerman said to Batgirl who began to panic. "Could they know who I am?" Batgirl thought deep inside.
"I know what you must be thinking," Doctor Kellerman said to Batgirl. "Your thinking could they know who I am aren't you, well that's what I want you to think to question what we may or may not know that it engulfs your very thoughts," Doctor Kellerman said with an evil smirk.
As Batgirl stared into Kellerman's eyes she tried to block out those thoughts but she couldn't help but wonder what they knew. Batgirl tried to tell herself she would know if they removed her mask and put it back but would she?
Kellerman turned away from Batgirl to exit the room but just before he did he turned towards Batgirl one more time.
"Before I leave you to the nurses I should tell you one more thing. Well you may not know if removed you're mask or not know this i have given orders that your mask is to stay on well you're here" Doctor Kellerman said to a confused Batgirl.
"Why would you do that"Batgirl screamed at the doctor.
"Why well it's very simple my dear one i don't want you to know what we know or don't and removing your mask could give away what we know," Kellerman said to Batgirl enjoying this moment.
"And second I want you to stop seeing this mask as your protection but instead as your cage, imagine being here weeks, months, possibly years without being able to see your own face to lose yourself to this mask," Kellerman said as her new reality began to sink into Batgirl.
"But I'm a fair man I'll gladly free you of that cage when you are ready all you'll have to do is ask and I'll let you remove the symbol of your prison," Kellerman said before turning again
