Defeat

Batgirl watched him walk away, fear filling her being. There was no knowing what they had done while she had been knocked out, but she knew she would never leave Arkham with her identity intact.

"Doctor, wait!" she shouted.

He turned back to her, a bit of surprise on his face.

"What do you want, Batgirl?"

"F-free me... please!"

A chuckle escaped him at her request. Slowly, he walked back towards her. The nurses and guards surrounding him all stared at him in anticipation.

"You would like me to unmask you?" he asked.

Batgirl stayed silent, looking down at the floor. It was time for the symbol of Batgirl to end.

The nurses and guards began to laugh, all of them wanting to see the heroine be bested and humbled. They wanted to be the ones on TV exposing the identity of Batgirl to all of the world.
