A Path of Previous Footsteps

Cherchiel lifts Lemiel out of the small crater she was in and she's clearly in bad shape. If she was a normal human she'd probably be dying, but as an Angel with all her powers she's merely quite injured. A quick cast of heal from Goma sets her right again.

The Siren Queen seems amused as she listens to the voices, one wanting to aggressively **** the Sirens and Mermaids to back down, the other wanting to appease them at least for a while longer. The Goddess looks annoyed.

"I am not here out of the goodness of my heart. I am here because he," she points to the corpse of the king, "threatened our delicate balance and now that balance is shattered and I will have victory. The seas are my rightful domain!" she declares and meanwhile Isalia, Lemiel, cherchiel and Goma are together Cherchiel and Goma helping Isalia and Lemiel. Lri is staring at her Queen with a thoughtful look. Yulia is standing between her group and the two remaining leaders of Calumnia, she appears to be deep in thought.

The Siren Queen spots the Scepter, "ah there you are!" she says and moves for it. The Goddess turns to try and stop her, but before either finish, Lri darts forward and grabs it. The remaining Sirens and Mermaids all move closer as Lri holds the scepter and Yulia watches Lri. Lri is holding the scepter and then looks up at the Queen, the other Sirens, The Goddess and the Mermaids all bearing down on her and suddenly they are all **** back as a strong current crashes against them.

"My queen... The Scepter shall not fall into your hands," she says and the Siren Queen looks shocked as she recovers from the sudden push.

"My daughter! What are you saying? Give me the scepter! I will use it for you. I will get **** on the Mermaids and their "goddess" for what they did to you!" The Queen declares and Lri tightens her grip on the Scepter.

"I... I don't want vengeance. I just want the fighting to stop. So, many of my sisters are dead already, friends, people I cared about. Tell me 'mother' if a mermaid had been sent to assist Yulia and later Aqua showed up at your throne offering that mermaid to you to do with as you wished, would you have done different?" she asks and The Siren Queen bites her lip.

"Would you then consider their desire for vengeance justified!" Lri yells and The Siren Queen growls.

"Daughter... You are making a mi-" The Siren Queen starts and then yelps as another current hits her and she has to struggle to hold her ground.

"You make a good point, little Siren, I am sorry for my actions... Give me the scep-" the Goddess states stepping forward and Lri knocks her back with another current.

"Don't think that my words to my Queen mean I'm on your side!" Lri declares, "both of you are responsible for so much pain. This war only happened because the three of you hold such destructive lust for Power! You're all no better than Levateinn! We could have been living together, working together, but instead we've been killing and dying for so long all because of you. If I had my way... You'd both be executed for your crimes, but that is not my choice," Lri says and then moves and hands the Scepter to Yulia, "it is the chosen's place to shape the destiny of the Tower and it's denizens," she says and then moves behind Yulia.

Yulia holds the scepter and looks ahead of her at the Siren Queen and Goddess, both look angry now and it's clear that there might be a fight, she could likely defuse the situation, but it occurs to her she does have the power here now. The Scepter is in her hands and while the Queen and Goddess have artifacts of their own likely of commensurate power, they'd likely be fighting mostly alone since the Scepter could pretty easily hold back the rest of their forces.

Lri puts a hand on Yulia's shoulders, "you came to rescue me... I've had a lot of time to think about things and I realized my Queen never would have bothered... She may call us her daughters, but we're all expendable pawns to her. She never really desired to avenge me for my sake either, just an excuse to justify her war further... Yulia, I don't care if you choose to kill them or what, but don't give them the Scepter... The war has to end here," she says pleadingly and Yulia nods.

"the last chosen **** them to declare a truce, but the truce was temporary and fragile... We might be able to create something longer lasting here... The scars of war will not fade, even if these two are killed, but... there has to be some way to end the fighting..." Yulia thinks to herself.
