...will you SHUT UP Aqua!?

"Did you guys do it?" Darkness asked as the four left the Destroyer.

"Yeah, it wasn't easy, but the Destroyer's core was stopped," Kazuma assured her, Megumin, Cremea and Fio. "And we'll be bringing the Creator's body back down to give a proper burial..."

"Yeah! We can rest easy now!" Aqua pumped her fist. "No more exploding Destroyer! It's all over! Let's celebrate!"

Kazuma froze as they heard a loud creaking behind them from the machine. "...Aqua..." he growled, and they turned around and saw the carapace of the Destroyer start to warp from internal pressure.

"Oh... Oh no..." Wiz panicked. "We may have gotten rid of the core, the source of the heat... But... The heat it had already distributed through the systems must now be trying to escape the Destroyer! It's still going to blow!"

"Damn it Aqua, you HAD to open your mouth again!!!" Kazuma roared, shaking her by the collar again. "Didn't you learn from the last time!? I swear, if we make it out of this, and I haven't killed you, I'm going to find whatever this world's equivalent of suicide watch is, and put you on it!"

"What do we do now!?" Cremea panicked, and Kazuma calmed down a bit.

"If I had more mana, I could maybe use Explosion to divert the force away from town," Wiz suggested.

"Too risky, you'd have to overpower the force of the Destroyer's own explosion..." Kazuma shook his head. "If that's our only option, we'll go with it, but maybe there's another way... Otherwise, get ready Aqua, I'm going to drain your mana and give it to Wiz if I can't come up with anything less of a gamble. We can't let Wiz drain you, too much risk of someone realizing she's a Lich, I can at least explain it away as an Adventurer..."

"Hell no, I'm not sharing my mana with a Lich! Besides, a massive infusion of my holy magic would destroy her! ...on second thought..."

"No," Kazuma deadpanned. "We'll go with giving it to Megumin then if that's what we end up having to do." He then had the two girls stand next to each other in case they needed to go with that plan.

The pressure of course was building however, both figuratively and literally as the shell of the destroyer bulged... Wait a minute... Pressure... If it could be vented... "Kyouya, cut a hole near the top of that thing! Hurry!" Kazuma shouted.

Kyouya blinked, but didn't hesitate, trusting Kazuma's judgement, sending another, albeit smaller, Rune slash to strike near the top of the Destroyer. The magic slash cut right into the metal, producing a loud screeching noise, and Kyouya and Kazuma paused, before rushing steam and hot air started rushing out of the hole in the shell, and the creaks stopped, the bulges in the carapace no longer growing. It had worked, the Destroyer was no longer on the verge of exploding. Kazuma stood next to Kyouya, waiting with bated breath for literally any sign of further trouble.

After about five minutes, just as they finally started to relax, Aqua opened her mouth to speak. "Is it ov-?"

"GET HER!!!" Kazuma shouted hysterically, and against all common sense, or possibly BECAUSE of it, everyone present proceeded to dog pile on Aqua to gag her before she could jinx it AGAIN.
