Gratefully

"To welcome you all to the Guild, I made some gifts for you all." I say before reaching into the box. "Irene, since you seemed to burn through your mana quickly, I made you a Ring to boost your max mana and your mana regeneration." I say while taking out the blue Ring. I hand it to her before pulling out the next. "Marlo, I made you a Ring that will increase your strength and defense." I say while handing him his green Ring.

"Wait, are these Runes carved onto this?" Irene asks after inspecting hers.

"Yes, Verona gave me a book that taught me the Runic language. There are only a few though, I was advised not to make anything too powerful." I say causing Marlo to gasp.

"Most people can barely add a few Runes though. Even just three or four Runes would be considered impressive." Marlo says.

"Yeah, not to mention the price they have. Not many Lyna bother learning how to add Runes. So they're pretty rare." Jess adds.

"Really? I felt a little bad while making these since I couldn't add as many as I'd like." I say causing Irene to snap her fingers.

"Eric, you told me before that you made your weapons, right?" Irene asks causing me to nod. "Could you show it to me? I never got a good look at them, and I want to see if they have Runes." She continues. I take my Silver Vine Katana. I hold it up for her to see. She and Marlo step closer to get a good look at it.

"There are so many Runes along the blade." Marlo says upon inspecting it.

"How many Runes did you put on this?" Irene asks me.

"I don't know the exact number. But I put the Runes for Power and Strength along the grip and guard. There are a few of them along the back of the blade too. Those affect the entire blade though, so it doesn't matter too much where I place those. I added Runes for Cutting along the blade itself, this makes it easier to cut through armor and hides. I added Impact Runes behind them. So this way, if I can't cut it, it'll still pack a punch." I reply causing them to nod and step back. They look at it impressed and surprised before I store it away. "Anyway, I still have some more items to give out. I'd like to hurry before Asami gets mad." I say causing Jess to laugh. "So next is Andrews, I made you a Quiver. It has Runes that'll gather mana and infuse them into your arrows. It's also Enchanted with Spatial magic, so it'll hold two hundred and fifty arrows." I say while handing it to him.

"Wait, you can Enchant too!?" Irene asks in surprise.

"Yeah, but I've only Enchanted Andrews. Now Abigal, for you I made you a Ring. It's basically the same as Irenes, only it's painted red." I say while handing her the ring.

"Thank you! Out of curiosity, how much does it increase my mana by?" Abigal asks. I remember her max mana being at 400 before. Crap, I forgot to take into account her stats! I modeled her Ring after Irene, who has nearly two thousand mana. The Ring will give her 300 more max mana! Asami's going to kill me! I think quickly before answering.

"It's hard to put into words, but it'll increase yours by a good bit." I say. Fortunately, I haven't told them about how I can Observe people. So they don't know I can quantify a person's mana. "Now Chase, for you I made a Ring that'll boost your strength and the damage you do." I say while handing him his Ring. He thanks me and puts it on. "Nick, for yours I made another Ring that'll boost your stamina and defense." I continue while pulling the last Ring out of the box. He thanks me and puts it on as I turn to Mavis. "Mavis, for you I made a Dagger. It's made from an alloy of Giant Bee Stingers. It'll paralyze what you cut as long as the cut is deep enough." I say while handing her the sheathed Dagger. She takes it and unsheathes it before examining it. "Finally Jess, I made this for you." I say while taking the sound barrier box out. I take the Mana Gem in my other hand before storing the empty box away.

"Wait, I'm not a member of your Guild, remember?" Jess says causing me to nod.

"I know, but I still wanted to make you something. So this is something to help with your classes. It's engraved with Runes to create a barrier that only blocks out sound. It uses this Mana Gem as a battery. It recovers mana over time while not in use. But if it does run out of mana, Marlo can fill it with some of his. I'm not sure how long the Gem will last though, so keep that in mind." I say while handing them to her.

"Thank you, but I can't use magic. I can't turn this on." Jess says after looking for an on-switch.

"Right, sorry. It activates as soon as you place the Gem into the slot on the bottom." I say causing her to flip it over. She places the Gem in causing the box to light up. The sound of the other people talking vanishes as the barrier activates. "One more thing, these are not bribes or anything to keep you here. If you decide to leave the Guild after the trial period, or after that. I won't make you hand them back over or pay for them." I say before Jess takes the Gem back out.

"Master!?" Asami nearly shouts as soon as the barrier disappears.

"Yes Asami?" I ask surprised.

"Were you ignoring me?" She asks slightly angrily.

"No, I gave Jess an item that creates a soundproof barrier. She was testing it out, so I couldn't hear you." I reply, assuming she was calling for me while Jess had the Gem in.

"Okay, well it's time to start eating, so I need you to come over here."

"Sure, but why do I need to come over here?" I ask after telling the others bye.

"You need to give a speech to start us off, that's why." Asami says with a mischievous smile.

"You could've told me sooner." I reply causing her to chuckle.

"Why would I do that? That ruins the fun."
