The smell of… burning?

In an instant the smell of burning assaults your senses. Pain shoots up across your entire body below the neck as you feel something searing your flesh. Everywhere on your body covered by armor burns red hot!

Overwhelmed by pain you are **** to stop your charge as your hands work quickly to unfasten the red hot buckles. Throwing it off, you are **** to throw off your leather trousers and boots too as you now only stand in your cotton shirt and underwear. Thankfully, the armor was the source as the burning as you are no longer wracked by pain.

Despite this small victory you feel your legs go numb and give out beneath you. Looking up from the ground, it seems the wizard had casted a second spell while you were busy doffing your armor. The minotaur stumbles to his feet as he has finally shaken off your blow too.
