Heading home
While the bags are heavy, Ethan manages well enough. Still, the walk back definitely promises to be longer, the extra weight threatening to add a few minutes.
Just as he's about to leave the town square Ethan feels another set of eyes on him. Impossible as it sounds, Ethan knows he's getting stared at again, the introverted side of him screaming into his very being. Shuffling to a stop, Ethan looks around, trying to hone in on the source.
A flash of motion catches his eye.
A slim figure quickly looked away the second his gaze ran over them, twisting around so quick you'd think they got caught peeping. Eyeing the figure from afar, all Ethan can really glean is they are thin, short, and sport very long black hair.
A girl, clearly, and so far the only person to look away when caught staring. After a moment, the girl looks back over her shoulder making eye contact from afar. Something about this exchange feels very different from the rest of the townsfolk.
Squinting slightly, Ethan tries to parse out more information about the young woman, but can't tell much other than her stature and hair color.
Shifting the bags in his arms, Ethan feels his introverted side wane, options presenting themselves.
