Fighting Wyverns part 1.

Kazuma immediately drew his sword and ran forward to help Darkness as she staggered to her feet, while the parent wyverns moved in on her, Cremea and Fio right behind him. Fio shot at one of the parents, hitting it in the thigh. It roared in rage and turned towards her and Cremea, flying right at them. Cremea stood her ground as it approached, and swung her mace as it lunged at her. The blow hit it in the face and knocked the wyvern off course and into a tree, though it managed to lash its tail at her as it went by. It struck her in the chest, knocking her on her ass, but thankfully, her dragon scale armor at that area prevented the stinger from penetrating.

Meanwhile Kazuma reached the other parent as it was on Darkness, starting to maul her. Thank goodness for her absurd durability. He roared and got its attention by swinging his sword down on the end of its tail, cutting into it, but not quite severing the stinger. Still, it successfully pissed off the wyvern, and it rounded on him, and lunged. He once again resorted to one of his favored tactics, "Create Earth! Wind Breath!"

The beast recoiled at the sand that flew into its eyes, and Kazuma ran forward, stabbing his blade at the beast's throat and to his gratification, it plunged about halfway in. Unfortunately, he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder, and felt his muscles quickly locking up. The wyvern had managed to retaliate with a blind strike of its wounded tail.

'Shit, that venom works fast!' Kazuma thought as he went limp, letting go of his blade, which was still lodged in the wyvern's neck. It shook its vision clear, and attempted to finish him off, but stopped as Darkness got up, ran to it, grabbed its tail, and swung it around, using it as an improvised bludgeon as the two still living adolescents zeroed in on her. WHAM! She released the parent as it impacted its two offspring, letting them tumble away.

"Cure Poison!" Aqua shouted as she ran up to Kazuma, and as the spell took hold, Kazuma got up, clutching his shoulder as Aqua then healed it.

"Thanks," he told Aqua, rolling said shoulder.

"What now?" Aqua asked.

"We gotta get my sword back, for one thing, that should make the creature its currently in bleed out..." Kazuma replied. "Darkness, think you can hold it still long enough for me to do that?"

As Darkness nodded, Aqua asked, "What about the other two?"

"Why Aqua, how brave of you, thank you for volunteering to run decoy!" Kazuma grinned.

"Why yes, I am brave, it's part of being a godde- wait, what!?" she balked as the three wyverns recovered and got up.
