Kazuma becomes the "butt" of jokes.

"...Aqua, why the hell are you carrying a bunch of carrots?" Kazuma deadpanned as they walked through the meadow the rabbits had been reported in.

"I thought some bait might be helpful in drawing them out!" Aqua replied. "Rabbits like carrots, right?"

"...what part of, "they're hyper carnivorous," did you not get?" Megumin asked. "You wasted Eris..."

"... seriously!?" Aqua whined.

"Meh, we can snack on the carrots later, I don't see the issue," Kazuma shrugged. "It'll just come out of our food budget... More importantly, there's one right now," he remarked, noting one hopping up towards him, tilting its head and looking adorable. Pretending to be taken in by the act, Kazuma approached, extending a hand... And the creature lunged, only to be caught by the scruff of its neck.

It thrashed a bit in a panic, before trying to give Kazuma Puppy Eyes. "..." Shank! "Yeah, that doesn't even work on me when Megumin does it," he deadpanned to the creature he had just stabbed.

"Because you have no soul!" Megumin retorted as she casually whacked one in midair with her staff as more showed up, realized the jig was up, and were now going for the zerg rush approach instead.

"Flattery doesn't work either!" Kazuma jeered as he punted another one.

"Good distance!" Fio quipped as they started killing the rabbits left and right.

"...I thought the quest said we were supposed to kill them BEFORE they reproduce to this extent," Kazuma panted as they looked at almost a hundred slain rabbits. "There weren't supposed to be this many!"

"To be fair, whoever reported their presence probably didn't stick around long enough to count them," Cremea reasoned. Despite the low EXP these things gave, she and Kazuma had both managed to level up. "I mean, would you?"

"...ugh, I can't actually argue with that..." Kazuma admitted with a grunt.

"Oh, you such an adorable little bunny, yes you are!" Darkness crooned as she hugged a struggling adolescent rabbit to her body. It bit and scratched at her with its teeth and horn, but only managed to inflict superficial scratches to her face, which she was happily ignoring or enjoying.

"...this is your fault," Megumin deadpanned at Kazuma, who threw his hands up.

"For the last time, I was just kidd-" Shank! Kazuma then stiffened. "...yeah, I think Darkness isn't holding the only one left..."

"What makes you say that?" Fio blinked.

"...oh... Just a feeling..." Kazuma snarked, turning around, and hanging from his rear was the one he had punted earlier, if the look of rage on its face was anything to go by, and its horn was lodged firmly in his left buttock.
