Chapter 419 by voidcaller17
What Are You Making?
More Gifts!
I enter my blacksmith's workshop and open my inventory. I make another ring with a Magic Gem and Magic Iron. I coat it in gold and engrave the Runes for Strength and Power onto it. I Observe the ring once I'm done.
Magic Iron Ring Lvl 35, Epic
This Ring was made with Magic Iron as a base. It contains a Magic Gem, boosting the mana within. It has been carved with Runes for Strength and Power. While worn it will give its wearer +20 Strength and increase the power of their attacks by 5%.
I store the ring away before thinking of what to make next. I don't paint the ring since Chase is getting it, and it matches his chainmail as is. Let's see... Nick did well in our match yesterday. He didn't run out of mana, but I also didn't push him as hard. But he was tired. He didn't have the stamina to block rapid attacks. Can I make something to help with his stamina? Maybe something to increase his Endurance? I think before sighing. I open the book about the Runic Language Verona gave me. I look for any stamina Runes and quickly find them. There are several Runes for stamina. They differ slightly from one another. I find the one I'm looking for and smile. I make another ring for Nick and engrave the Runes for Stamina and Defence on it. I Observe it once I've finished.
Magic Iron Ring Lvl 35, Epic
This Ring was made with Magic Iron as a base. It contains a Magic Gem, boosting the mana within. It has been carved with Runes for Stamina and Defence. While worn it will increase its wearer's stamina by 50% and increase their defence by 20.
Good, that'll work for Nick. Now what to give Mavis? She didn't run out of mana by the end, but I'm not sure how much she had. Hmm... I think I'll make her a weapon. I think before buying some Giant Bee Stingers from the L-Market for 7,500$. I melt them down with some Magic Iron and turn them into ingots. I use Draconic Ice to cool them before hammering away. I turn them into a dagger. I remember that Giant Bee Stingers were able to paralyze. I'm hoping to create a dagger that can paralyze those it cuts. I engrave the Runes for paralyzing and immobilizing onto it. Once I've finished I Observe it.
Iron Bee Dagger Lvl 40, Epic
This Dagger was made with an alloy of Magic Iron and Giant Bee Stingers. It was engraved with Runes to enhance its paralytic properties. It deals 200-250 damage and has a high chance of paralyzing. The paralysis will not work against those who resist it or if the cut isn't deep enough.
Great. Now that's all the gifts taken care of. But while I was making this dagger, I realized Luna could use a new weapon. Hers are good, but they don't do as much damage as Innus or mine. She has the strength to make up for it, but she could be much stronger. But her current weapon boosts her bestial power, boosting her instincts. I'll try making a new weapon, and if it's not better I can always sell it. I think before opening my inventory. I melt down two Enchanted Steel. While they melt down I take out four Twin-Tailed Wolf Hide. I cut and stitch them to become gauntlets. I use the Steel to make them and turn them into clawed gauntlets, like her current ones. I then use six of the Lightning Fur to decorate them. I engrave the Runes for Strength, Agility, and Power onto each. Once I'm done I Observe the two clawed Gauntlets.
Lightning Wolf Gauntelts Lvl 90, Mythical
These Gauntlets were made with Enchanted Steel, Twin-Tailed Wold Hide, and Lightning Fur. They were engraved with Runes for Power, Agility, and Strength. The Gauntlets deal 1500 damage per attack. They give their wearer +15 Strength, +25 Agility, and +10% more damage. Hidden Properties: The Mana from the Lightning Fur boosts all forms of Lightning Magic. The Mana from the Twin-Tailed Wold Hide boosts all forms of Beast Magic.
Okay, this is perfect. It'll boost her beast magic and does more damage. It sucks that she can't make use of the lightning magic boost. I was hoping the Fur would boost her speed. I think before leaving my workshop. I find Luna, Innu, and Asami outside. Asami's standing with her hands on her hips. Luna and Innu are on their knees looking up at her. Their eyes are pleading with her for something.
"What's going on?" I ask causing Luna and Innu to rush over to me.
"Alpha, help us convince Asami!" Luna says while tugging on my arm.
"Convince her of what?" I ask causing Asami to sigh.
"They want to go to the Ruins. But I told them no, since the Guilds party is tomorrow. The last thing we need is for someone to break something now. So I told them they'd have to wait until after school on Monday." Asami replies causing Luna to growl.
"Master, tell her we'll be fine. Even if we do break something, you or Gaia can heal it up like nothing happened." Innu says pleadingly. I look at Asami who's staring at me scornfully. Her gaze sends a shiver up my spine.
"I'm with Asami on this one." I say while raising my hands defensively. The two start tugging on me trying to convince me. After nearly a full minute someone interrupts us.
"Eric!" I hear a woman's voice say behind me. I don't recognize the voice, it's hoarse and sounds like they're questioning what they're saying. Despite this, they sound happy and energetic. I turn around and see Flare standing behind me. She's wearing a tight red shirt and matching shorts. They already went clothes shopping? How long was I in the workshop? I think before Flare points upstairs to the Alchemy workshop. "You. There." She says before running upstairs.
"You should go see what she wants you for. I'll take care of these two." Asami says while placing her palms on the girl's heads.
"Okay, but don't scold them too harshly." I say before going upstairs. I hear Luna call out for me, asking me not to leave. I find Flare waiting for me outside the workshop. She sees me coming and opens the door. She opens her mouth before pausing, struggling to find the right word.
"Go there." She says after a moment while pointing into the workshop. I hear someone chuckle inside before entering.
What's Inside?
