Chapter 9
by SingingLark
Continue? or better to go back?
Carpe diem
Her thoughts soon forgot the mysterious stranger. After all, her life would soon change completely. Liandra started to think of her prince. What would he be like? She imagined him young and gallant, heroic and kind, but there was no assurance he would be any of that.
Would she have many kids? Or few of them? Liandra loved children, so she decided she would like many. "But would they fight? Would they compete for the throne?" She mused out loud while she picked flowers, and eventually decided she could have just a single child. If it was a boy she would name him... Aurus. If a girl, Aqua. She laughed at her silliness, wasn't she worried about whenever or not she should get married? Maybe it was all unavoidable, and she should just focus on being happy, here and now.
"Be careful where you step!" a voice shouted from bellow, and Liandra was startled to see a faerie took flight. A sprite, a lithe thing with butterfly wings. Liandra found it adorable. And she was very humble and contrite. "Please, your forgiveness. I hope I didn't cause you any damages"
"No... but almost. you nearly crushed my wagon with this huge foot" Liandra was offended, but the tiny creature was right. Even her delicate feet would have caused tremendous damage if she had stepped on the wagon. She was the intruder, of course, and this faerie was just defending his property "You are right, i was very careless. I will keep an eye on the ground..." But the sprite was still infuriated, and while it complained Liandra sought his vehicle. And there it was, the little wagon. It was made of leafs and flowers, and looked remarkably light "How about ... i take you where you are going, how does that sound?"
The sprite didn't immediately agree, doubting how strong Liandra was. But eventually she persuaded him. As she leaned down to pick the wagon up, she noticed her hands were very strange. They were more like hooves. her back had changed as well. It was strange thinking she could stand again. When she tried to speak, she found out she had no idea how!
Liandra was transformed into a mare and was **** to pull the wagon all the way to the distant faerie market. Surprisingly, she was even happy as a beast of burden. The wagon felt heavy, but the weight gave her purpose. The track was long, but the sun basked deliciously over her fur. Even the whip, it could as well be a playful slap on her butt, it didn't hurt at all.
Liandra became herself again after the faerie pulled the harness out. Her entire body ached. "well, here we are, and you damn well did your part. Thank you very much, lass. Don't worry about the entrance fee, I already paid it. Least I could do, as you were dragging me here"
So Liandra is in the faerie market. What will she do?
