Final Date with Kase

You went out to watch a movie by yourself while Kase and Amanda had their last date. You were still confused and had mixed feelings about what happened last time. Kase had apologized. Amanda had apologized, blaming the liquor. But you couldn't forget her words. You sighed. You'd brought this upon yourself, really.

You made sure to watch a three hour movie, giving them time to have their fun. When you got home, Kase was gone. You were pretty sure nothing had happened based on Amanda's red-rimmed eyes.

"Are you okay, Daniel?" Amanda asked, coming over to give you a hug and kiss.

"Sure. Look, I'm sorry, I asked you to do this," you started.

"No, no, you didn't consent to that. And I should have stopped it. I'm sorry, it won't happen again. Do you want to stop this? I think we should?" You thought long and hard.

"No. Nothing has changed. We were all tipsy. And I think there are a lot of undercurrents there. But I've got 975 days left on my timer, and we need to get you back to work." Amanda smiled, tentatively.
