"Well, Mr. Martinez, the lack of testosterone is inhibiting growth, but we've still got a major fight on our hands," the doctor told you. You looked at the scans, but this wasn't your field.

"So is there anything more we can do?" you asked.

"Well. Hmm." He sat down, looking you in the eye. "So you know how taking away the testosterone takes away one of its weapons, right? There are some studies done, it's still very experimental, that suggest if we add estrogen to the fight, it may help inhibit it even further."

"Estrogen? Like the drug that makes you more feminine?"

"Exactly. So if we start giving you estrogen, it may help combat it from growing further. Maybe even shrink it some. No guarantees, but it might be your best shot."

"But isn't this going to have side effects?" The doctor nodded.

"Breast growth, genital shrinkage. Over time your weight distribution will shift. There will be consequences, no doubt. You'll probably need to see a gender counselor to help walk through these changes of what you'll be experiencing."

You sighed. A slim shot was better than no shot.
