Coronation day.((A princess departs))

Selina returned with the twelve children and each one was directed to their spots. They ranged from twelve to seventeen years old and the two strongest would hold the tail of the train. When they were all settled they wait for the traditional knock on the door that would start Karleen's journey to the temple. The knock came and the door opened and there stood Lady Giselle first minister and she exchanged a few words with Karleen "Your Highness everything is ready for your journey to the temple." Karleen looked at Giselle and then Bella and Selina who were both smiling and she stepped off heading out of her room followed by the train bearers. The pace was sedate as this was a walk so all of the staff could see her in her royal splendour but deep inside her body she had butterflies. She wondered if this was how Arerto had felt on her coronation but soon as the main door came insight the butterflies eased she knew she had to be seen to be strong. Karleen headed to the royal coach and a servant opened the door she boarded while her train was gathered up and placed inside.

The silver and white carriage was being pulled by six white stallions and they were controlled by three riders and a warrior holding the break on top of the carriage. The procession would be led by a unit of the RRS and Glinda had been over the moon when her unit was selected. The rear of the carriage procession would be provided by the rest of the cavalry. Behind them would come the whole of the Freeconian army and navy as this day was different to the proceeding day. The musicians sounded the fanfare and the procession moved off from the place taking the same route as the funeral procession had taken but this time the street was lined with flags and banners and the crowds were waving and cheering as Karleen passed by waving at the them. The carriage rolled along and the silver glinted in the mid-morning sunlight. Karleen was trying to suppress a tear as the crowds continued to cheer and wave and trumpets sounded announcing her imminent arrival.

The carriage made its way up the slight incline to the temple and the doors were opened and there stood the high priestess and her junior acolytes waiting. Glinda signalled for the escort to stop and the carriage pulled up in line with the doors and the train bearers appeared and took up the train so that Karleen could get out of the carriage. Once everyone was in position the trumpeters played the original refrain and they headed into the temple climbing the steps to pass under the door frame into the cavernous interior which was filled with foreign royals and diplomats and the Freeconia council. Also present were the senior military officers and military attaches from other realms. Freya was there standing with Katherine as they watched Karleen pass by and they smiled at her. Katherine had come to terms with the loss of her lover but sometimes still found it hard but today she was here to honour a new queen. Karleen took her place sitting on the coronation throne.
