Another Day

I start putting all the tools away when someone knocks on the door.

"Come in!" I shout since the door is pretty good at blocking out sound. The door opens and Ramia steps inside.

"E-Eric, Asami wanted me to come g-get you. She said dinner's d-done." Ramia tells me.

"Thanks, I'm just putting everything away." I say before setting some tools down.

"Umm, Eric, when c-could I get some blood f-for the doll? I-I can wait, I just want to k-know." She asks causing me to smile.

"If it doesn't take too long you can take some now. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until after dinner." I say causing her to smile. "Oh but before you do, I want to watch you make the doll. I'm curious how it works so I'd like to see it." I say causing her to nod.

"Then c-could we do it tomorrow morning? I'll have m-my mana back and everything will be r-ready." She asks while pulling an empty syringe out of her Spatial Pouch.

"That'll work." I say while pulling my sleeve up. She wipes my arm with a wet rag she grabbed from her pouch. She puts the needle in my arm and draws some blood. Once she's done she wipes my arm after pulling the needle out. I don't need a band-aid for the blood since Gaia's powers have already stopped the bleeding. She thanks me before running upstairs. I walk out and see Asami, Luna, Innu, and Liz sitting at the table.

"What's this I hear about you sparring with the new members?" Liz asks as soon as she sees me.

"I wanted to test their abilities." I say while taking a seat.

"What did you think of them?" She asks curiously as I thank Asami for cooking and take a bite.

"They were impressive. Particularly Abigal and Nick. They both created creatures to fight for them. Abigal made a Wyvern of fire. I'm hoping with some training she can ride it and get an aerial view. She might even be able to command from up there. Nick created a golem that seemed immortal. It didn't die after getting stabbed in the head. So as long as he has mana he could potentially create an army, if he can create multiple that is. Chase was easily the strongest and fastest. But his reaction time needs work. He was able to increase his strength by about 50% during the fight, but it used most of his mana. Mavis has a lot of potential for support, but she's not much for one on one combat, at least against someone stronger than her. Andrew has good accuracy and was able to add water to his arrows. I'm not sure if he can add anything else to them. But he kept calm and was aware of his surroundings." I say causing Liz to smile.

"I'm impressed Eric, I wasn't sure how well you could test them." Liz replies causing Asami to chuckle.

"It may have been a test for them but it seems Eric learned from it too. He started using his Spells in new ways. He used his Create Fire and Dark Energy Spells to make tigers and humanoids to fight for him. He even used a Spell I haven't seen before to move in a shadow, similar to what Mavis did." Asami says causing Liz to look at me.

"Really? I didn't think you'd fight like that."

"Yeah. I saw how they fought and tried it out. I have a lot of strong Skills and Spells but since I got them so fast, one after another. I don't know how to best use them, I haven't mastered them yet." I say causing her to smile. We finish eating while talking about the new members. Once we're done we go to bed. I do tell Asami what Ramia and I will be up to in the morning. Just in case she needs me for something. I wake up in the morning and sit up. I yawn before stretching my arms and getting out of bed. I walk outside the room and find Ramia and Verona sitting at the table.

"Good morning Eric." Verona says upon seeing me.

"Good morning Verona, Ramia." I say greeting them. Ramia stands up as I walk over to them.

"Are you r-ready for the doll?" She asks excitedly.

"Sure, are we doing it in the workshop?" I ask causing her to shake her head.

"No, we're going to do it at your arena. Since all the materials are, well, meant for your race. We're worried something bad might happen. Since they all contain such highly concentrated amounts of mana, it could destroy wherever we do it at. Fortunately, your arena has devices to repair any damage, so it's the best place." Verona replies. Ramia grabs mine and Verona's hands before taking us with her out of my Domain. We appear in the arena and I see a white sheet covering a pile of something. Ramia and Verona run over to it. Ramia pulls the sheet off revealing a lump of silver clay with a few blue patches. The blue is very dark and I can only see three small patches. Ramia pulls out the syringe of blood she drew yesterday before sitting on the ground. She sits a few inches from the clay.

"Are you ready?" Ramia asks us.

"I've been ready." Verona replies, and I notice she's holding another notebook. I didn't see or sense her pulling out another one.

"I'm ready." I say causing Ramia to nod and stick the needle into the clay. She injects the blood into it before pulling it out. She quickly sets the needle down and raises both her hands. She moves them over the clay and casts a spell. I sense her gathering a large amount of mana. Almost immediately dark red bolts resembling lightning spark from Ramias hands and the clay.

"Shit! Eric, use Mana Fusion on her! Quickly!" Verona shouts to me. I Blink to Ramias side and place my palm on her shoulder. I know better than to question something Verona says. I cast Mana Fusion and see Ramia's already out of MP. I send her mine, just for her to use it all up right away. I keep sending her my mana until I'm nearly out. "Use mine!" Verona says while placing her hand on my back. I start sending Verona's mana to Ramia. She uses nearly half of Verona's mana before she stops. The red lightning disappears and Ramia falls back.
