The wall

In the morning briefing, you get right to the point. "The wall is almost at the road. From there, I know our plan was to turn it, and run it along the road, but I've been thinking," you take out a map and point to the building on the other side of the lot. It's a fairly non descript, square, two story building that was once a small apartment block. "What if we kept going straight and connected our walls to that building?"

Allen looks at the map and strokes his beard. "It would have us a hell of a lot of time and concrete."

"Easier to defend, too. We could use the rooftop as a fighting platform. Almost like a turret for a castle." That's basically where you got the idea from. "We'd have to clear the building and board up any entrances on the ground floor, but it's doable."

"Let's get to work then." Team 1 and Team 2 get geared up and ready to clear some rooms, which ended up being a fruitless effort as there was not a single thing alive or otherwise in the building. With that, you out everyone towards the task of finishing the wall. As the sun sets down, the final piece of concrete is poured, connecting your building to the other one, with the already sprouting farm in between. Making sure to write down your name on the walls and new building, you take the time to admire what is essentially now a compound. The new building is in **** need of repairs, but the extra space will be put to good use. As you stand on the roof, you see an explosion in the distance. From where you can stand, you can make the direction it came from. Curious, you wonder what it was. You're sure the sound and bright light is going to attract a lot of attention, and you consider going out there to check it out, but it's almost dark. Missions gets a lot more dangerous at night. Maybe you will head there in the morning. Then again, maybe you want to go now before the raiders and zombies get to whatever it is.
