Wooper's Protector

Just as the battle seems to reach a critical point, a Corphish emerges from the nearby pond, drawn by the commotion. The sight of Wooper in distress sparks a protective instinct within the Corphish. It immediately rushes over to Wooper and pats it on the head.

With the support of its friend, Wooper stops crying and starts to regain its composure.

"Let me handle this Corphish," you say as you step forward, ready to take on the red-shelled, crustacean Pokemon. "You ready Buddy?"

"BULBA!" your Bulbasaur responds, eager to fight.

As the battle begins, the forest ambiance intensifies. The rustling leaves and chirping of nearby Pokemon create a symphony of nature's energy, amplifying the excitement in the air.

"Okay, Bulbasaur, let's start by using Vine Whip!" you command, wanting to make use of Bulbasaur's Grass-type advantage.

Bulbasaur's vines shoot out from its back, extending toward the Corphish with precision. But the Corphish is not intimidated. It stands its ground, catching the vines in its pincers and engaging in a tug-of-war with Bulbasaur. The Corphish displays surprising strength as it pushes back against the vines, not willing to give an inch.

"Wow, this Corphish is no pushover!" you exclaim, impressed by its resilience.

"Eevee, let's try a Swift attack again!" Helena shouts, confident in Eevee's ability to unleash a barrage of stars.

Eevee's body glows once more, and it releases a flurry of stars that streak across the battlefield.

To everyone's surprise, Corphish releases the grip on one of Bulbasaurs vines and unleashes a Bubblebeam, intercepting the Swift attack. The Bubblebeam collides with the stars, creating a dazzling display of sparkling bubbles and fading stars.

Wooper responds swiftly, spewing a stream of mud toward Eevee. The globs of mud hit their mark, causing Eevee to stagger backward. It shakes off the mud, determined to keep fighting.

As the battle continues, you and Helena share a resolute look. It's clear that this 2v2 battle won't be a walk in the park, but you both refuse to back down.

"Alright, Bulbasaur, let's use Razor Leaf!" you command, deciding to capitalize on Corphish's weakness to Grass type moves.

Bulbasaur releases a flurry of sharp leaves from its bulb, sending them flying toward Corphish. The crustacean Pokemon tries to dodge, but some of the leaves manage to land solid hits, causing it to wince in pain.

"Eevee, follow up with Quick Attack!" Helena commands, taking advantage of Eevee's speed to deliver a swift strike.

Eevee dashes towards Corphish, its movements quick and agile. Corphish tries to retaliate with a Vice Grip, but Eevee's speed allows it to dodge the attack, delivering a powerful blow to Corphish's side.

Corphish stumbles back, but it remains focused to defend its friend.

You and Helena continue to strategize and exchange commands, using the forest's terrain to your advantage. The battle is intense, with both sides showing determination and skill.

After a series of well-coordinated attacks, Bulbasaur manages to land a solid Vine Whip on Corphish. Helena's Eevee follows up with a powerful Quick Attack, and Corphish begins to show signs of fatigue.

"Alright, Helena, this is our chance! Let's try to catch the Wooper now," you suggest, seeing an opportunity for her to add a new teammate to her party.

"Agreed!" Helena responds with a huge smile on her face. "Eevee, use a gentle Tackle to subdue the Wooper, but don't hurt it too much!"

Eevee nods, understanding the plan, and launches a controlled Tackle at Wooper. The Water/Ground-type Pokemon is surprised by the sudden attack but isn't seriously injured. It looks up at Eevee.

"Go, Pokeball!" Helena throws a Pokeball and it opens mid-air, sucking in the Wooper.

The ball shakes once, twice, thrice... and finally, with a ping, it clicks shut, indicating a successful capture. Helena has caught the Wooper!

"Congratulations, Helena! You did it!" you exclaim, feeling a rush of excitement for your friend's successful capture.

The Corphish looks you in the eyes while using one of his claws to point at the Pokeball with Wooper inside. Suddenly it rushes at you, leaping in your direction.

"Watch out!" Helena yells.

You want to hold your arms up in front of you to protect yourself but your body moves on its own. You reach into your bag and pull out a Pokeball, quickly throwing it at the Corphish. It connects, and a beam of red energy absorbs the Corphish. The Pokeball shakes three times and finally pops.

After recalling your Bulbasaur to its Pokeball, Helena rushes over to you, her eyes wide with amazement.

"Wow, that was incredible! You caught it just like that!" she exclaims.

You chuckle, feeling a mix of surprise and relief at the successful capture. "I guess my instincts kicked in," you say, still a bit stunned by the sudden turn of events.

As the adrenaline from the battle subsides, you approach the Pokeball with your newly caught Corphish.

Helena grins at you. "You've got a new teammate! That's amazing! Corphish are tough and tenacious. I'm sure it will be a great addition to your team."

"Yeah, this one was tough as hell," you reply, patting the Pokeball containing your new Pokemon.

With Wooper and Corphish now added to your respective teams, you and Helena decide to take a short break and rest near the pond where the two Pokemon were first spotted.
