Look for Dix.

The tiny woman in overalls has set up shop in a small home near the edges of Castle Phoenix. While it may not be as isolated as her old cottage outside the borders of Brumberg, she seems to have settled in well enough. It's difficult to tell whether she prefers the quiet, or it's moreso the people who would rather be separated from her. Either way, she seems happy. Perhaps it's due to all the new subjects she's surrounded by to test her potions on. You've given her a safe place to practice whatever she wishes, and even though you all live up in the mountains, she likely still has far more access to interesting reagents than outside that old village on her lonesome.

Unlike when you first met, the doorway is no issue, though the knob has been lowered closer to the level of your knees, which is a bit awkward. You find Dix reading a hefty book, especially for her stature, on a chair near a far table once you make your way inside. Her hair is tied back as always, with her bangs pulled away from her eyes by goggles on her forehead.

"Hey there," you greet. "I heard you only needed one more ingredient, and you'll be able to cure the queen. Is that right?"

"It is right," answers a different voice. It isn't Dix who speaks. Instead, Delphi the pixie flutters down from shelves above.

You wonder how a gnome is expected to reach said shelves, though it may have to do with the rolling stepladder parked in the corner of the room. "Oh. Hey, Delphi. What's up?"

"Well you see," Delphi begins. She plans her hands confidently on her hips as she hovers nearby with buzzing wings. She blows hair from her eyes--the rest hanging long down her back and side. Her gaze strikes you. While she may be the size of a bird, her bold lashes, painted nails, but mostly her attitude, tell the tale of a dominant Dark Fairy, like one would see tattooed on the arm of a biker. "I'm far more intelligent than you might think, dear Kyle, and I know exactly where to find this ingredient she seeks."

"No kidding. Is it far from here? Hard to get?"

"Not really, and not really. I mean, with your little teleportation talent, we should be able to grab some and get back here before dinner time."

"To Bunny Hop, I do generally need to have been there before, or it's a pretty big, exhausting risk."

"Never fear, because we have."

Meanwhile, Dix has shut her book with a felt marker left between the pages. She leans back against it in her oversized chair like a cushion. "It's a plant has a few different names, but colloquially it goes by Men's Bane. Don't let the name scare you, Kyle. It isn't actually poisonous. Though it does look rather odd to people who don't know what it is. Some think it's a mushroom, or maybe a big fruit, but it's actually a flower which appears as a blue-coloured bulb, about the size of an apple."

Delphi giggles. "They burst really easy, so we'll have to get a bunch. Though I think you'll love where we're going. The Cackling Woods!"

"I see," you respond. "But are you okay with going back there?"

She sighs. "... Yeah. It's fine. They may have exiled me from their little village, but I've made peace with things. Anyway, it isn't the village we need to go to anyway. Men's Bane grows in random places all around the Cackling Woods. And if they mess with us, then I'll show those naughty girls what happens when they do. I wonder if Rose is still there. No, not our Rose. You remember. One of the cuties that would come and visit me." Once again she giggles.

"Common name, I guess." As if our Rose uses her real name. I highly doubt that. "Let's do it then. I'll grab my pack, and we'll find several of these bulbs to bring back. Badabing, badaboom, the Queen of Tivera will be back, and that will no doubt cause Elok's and Thadius' plans to get a lot more complicated."

"And I'll lead the way. I know exactly what it looks like, so you can count on your favourite Dark Fairy."
