Trouble

My Annihilation Energy disappears and I look at what I'm holding. In my hand is a small wooden chest. It has a light blue lock on it. I recognize it as a Magicallium lock. I sigh before storing it away.

"Why didn't you open it?" Irene asks, unable to see the lock where she is.

"It has a Magicallium lock. I know someone who can unlock it though." I explain and she nods. We walk toward the next door. We clear two more rooms before reaching the corner. We slay seven Lizardmen, well they slay. I use magic to bind and hold them, but I don't damage any. I'm wanting to observe the others for now. Up until now, I've only had Kallen, Sugano, Kagiyama, Myla, Hino, and my Gramps to compare us to. So I never knew how we compared to the average Lyna. We go through two more rooms, slaying eight Lizardmen before Irene groans.

"What do you guys say to one more room before leaving?" She asks after I store the Crystal Hearts away.

"That sounds good. I haven't eaten since breakfast." Marlo says causing Luna to pout.

"That sounds like a plan then." I say before Luna turns to me. "Don't worry. we can come back later." I add causing her to sigh. We walk to the next archway and I open it. We walk in, with Irene and I in the back. As soon as we're in, roots sprout from the ground below the archway. They grow, locking us inside. This puts us all on guard since the only reason it would close is if we entered a Boss or Mini-Boss room. I look around and quickly find the monster. It's a large four-legged creature. It looks like a tiger, except it has white fur. It notices us and howls as I Observe it.

The Tiger starts rushing us, running faster than its size would indicate. I notice small bolts of lightning running across its fur. I cast Lightning Step before drawing any weapons. My Dark Claws are still out, but my Ancient Beast Strength has worn off. I slam my fist into its face.

I sense something along its fur and cast Annihilation Energy. I couldn't dodge since the others are behind me. I make the Energy make a wall between us as lightning shoots from it. The wall disappears once I stop sensing the lightning. Luna jumps onto its back from its side. She attacks it before casting Ancient Beast Slash. She jumps off as the beast roars in pain. Innu runs up behind me and brings her blade down from above. It goes for the Tigers head, but it stops her with its lightning. It creates a wall, similar to the one I made. Innu struggles to break through. She grunts before stepping back and raising her blade again. It grows, as she activates its ability. She brings it down, but the Tiger is quicker. It sends a bolt of lightning at her. I quickly draw my Katana and cast Annihiating Thrust. The lightning gets destroyed but since Innus Gigantomakia doesn't use mana. It doesn't get affected. I cast Dark Chains and Vine Trap to hold it still. Her blade crashes down on the Tiger. It kicks up a ton of dust and sends it flying around. I turn away to shield my eyes.

I walk over and store the Heart.

"What was that?" Marlo asks while running over.

"It was a Lightning Tiger." I say before he shakes his head.

"No, I mean her attack. How did her sword grow like that?" Marlo asks and I chuckle, a little embarrassed.

"Her sword is Mythical too. It has the ability to grow and let her attack using a Giant's strength. As you saw it's pretty powerful. But it drains her stamina, so she only uses it at the end of battles." I explain and the two nod, surprised.

"Alpha! Look at this!" Luna says while running over to me. She holds up a bundle of white fur and a small Lightning Tiger. Irene and Marlo step back and ready their weapons. "Isn't it so cute!" She continues while setting the Tiger down.

"Where did you find it?" I ask and she points to behind her.

"I could smell it had a nest. I remember the Griffen in the last Ruins had feathers you could use. So I went to look and found some fur. But then I found this cub. It's so cute and they've taken a liking to me. Can we keep it?" She asks causing me to sigh. She takes a lot of fur out of her Spatial Pouch and dumps it in my hands. I store it away before turning to the Tiger.

"Luna, do you remember how I tamed Eimbis and Barrai?" I ask and she nods. "Try to tame the Tiger. I think it'll suit you." I say causing her to smile and bend down. Innu walks over as Luna pours her mana into the Tiger. She places her hand against the Tigers head and he nuzzles against it. She grabs them and jumps up.

"I did it!" She says while showing me her new Familiar Mark. It has three circles inside the big main one.

"Good job, we'll have to visit Strom later and ask for his help in those circles. I say causing her to nod happily.

"What are you naming them?" Innu asks and Luna thinks it over.

"I don't know, any ideas?" Luna asks while looking at Innu and I. We both shrug and she sighs.

"How about Sparks? He's a Lightning Tiger after all." Marlo asks and Luna nods.

"That sounds good. What do you think of Sparks?" She asks the cub. It roars in approval and I smile.

"Okay, let's get going." I say while walking back the way we came. We don't come across any more Lizardmen on our walk. We return through the Dimension Door after leaving the Ruins. We get to the Guildhall and walk out of the changing rooms.
