Stick with Rowen

It doesn’t take long for Merlan and me to cross the village and arrive at the forest edge. About half of the guys have chosen to take the other side. As we make our way past the first trees, I check who the other guys are.

The first one I notice is Zayden, the carpenter’s son. He is apprenticing under his dad at their family workshop and his sister is my ex-girlfriend. Zayden is a good kid and I hope he manages to catch himself a nice girl. Though I kinda prefer for it to not be my sister. Not because he wouldn’t be a good fit for Rowena, but then Cerri might use it as an excuse to get close to me again.

The next guy is Leigh, the horse keeper’s youngest son. The girls often make jokes about him having a dick as big as that of a horse, as well as him being a ‘thoroughbred’. Must be because he both works with the horses, and is the son of the man in charge of all the horses. So far, nobody could ever confirm his supposedly massive dick size since he was always too young to participate. This year he finally turned 18 though, so he can finally participate for his first time. Seeing him walking naked over here, I can now confirm for myself. The guy is hung. I’ll assume that whichever girl he catches will end up happy she got caught.

The two of those separate from the rest of the group pretty early and head in the direction of the path. I guess they are planning on following the path to have certainty at getting to the bonfire. They will have to be willing to wade through the water, though.

The next guy I see moving away is Duane. He is heading after the Zayden and Keyan. I take it he is going for as much certainty at catching a girl. Can’t blame him. It’ll be another 5 years until his next time. Unless he gets married between then. Then this Samhain would be his last.

He is followed by his friend, Pwyll. I don’t know anything about him. Just that he is blonde and with the travelers. At any rate, I wish him good luck.

The next guy to separate from our group is Brenyn. He is the rope maker’s son and is apprenticing as a hunter. I often got the feeling that he has a crush on Maire, the hunter’s youngest daughter. If so, then he has made it difficult for himself. That Maire is quite a wild one. I don’t think I’d be able to tame her. Brenyn is going to need all the luck he can. That said, apprenticing as a hunter might give him some extra help in these woods. So best of luck to you, Brenyn. I hope you succeed in taming that wildcat.

Shortly after Brenyn disappears into the forest it is Gawain’s turn. He is the mead brewer’s son. The guy who last year caught his sister and had to have sex with her. Since that was part of Samhain, it was fine. Nobody cared. But apparently, he continued having sex with his sister after. That was a big issue. I heard people say it was his sister who kept putting the moves on him and seducing him and she was kicked out of the house for that. All I remember is that when Gwendolyn was kicked out, Gawain came across as quite depressed. I’m worried he might have actually fallen in love with his sister. At any rate, I hope that he finds a hot girl tonight. One to help him forget about his sister.

I suddenly hear a guy screaming behind me. I turn around and I see Connal has got his leg stuck in a rope trap. It’s nothing serious. Just a rope, tied to a low hanging branch, which is now tied around his ankle. It’ll take some time for him to pull himself loose, but he can still chase after a girl. He might miss out on spying on the girls during the bonfire though.

Connal is the cattle farmer’s son and also works there. This made some of the girls joke about him being the village ‘bull’. I guess it is the same as the guys talking about his sister’s breasts being like cow tits. It makes me wonder why people enjoy referring to each other as animals.

I do feel Connal is taking quite a risk with participating, though. Both of his sisters are participating, so he has double the chance of running into family. Or maybe he just doesn’t care? Or even worse, perhaps he actively wants to run into one of his sisters. Now that idea makes my spine shiver.

I look back in front of me I somehow don’t see Merlan anymore. Oh, crap. Did he go to my right to keep close to the path? Or to the left so he can use the bridge over there? Dang it. Due to him apprenticing as a druid, he goes into this forest a lot, so he has a decent idea of the layout. I was hoping to follow him. After all, I only ever did one Samhain. Anyways, looks like I will have to find my own way.

I walk past many a tree and bush until eventually I arrive at the river. I look to both my left and right, but I am unable to see any bridges in the distance. Though that is mostly because the river is known for making a lot of twists and turns. I don’t feel like wasting time to find out where the bridges are, so I go straight through the river.

The water feels cold, and though the water is shallow enough you can walk through it, it is still deep enough that my balls dip into the cold water. That is uncomfortable.
