Road to Ostagar

As you stepped outside and took a mouthful of fresh air, you sighed as the world was opening up to you. Your adventure was starting and there was so much you wanted to see. For your entire life, you have never set foot further away than this. You stepped down into a small row boat and soon stepped on a rocky road as you along with Duncan traveled to Ostagar.

You learned a lot from the old man. He spoke to you about the current situation of the war, the darkspawn and he also mentioned a ritual. You tried to pry and find out what it was about but his face sort of always changed when you asked. It was a secret he was not willing to reveal and so you left it at that.

But alas, after a couple of days, you along with Duncan finally set foot in Ostagar where a very unexpected welcome party waits for you.

" Ho there, Duncan ! " A tall blond man with golden armor greets and extends his hand towards Duncan.

" King Cailan ? I didn't expect... "

" A royal welcome ? I was beginning to worry you would miss all the fun. "

" Not if I could help it your majesty. "

" Then I will have the mighty Duncan at my side during battle. Glorious ! The other wardens told me you found a promising recruit. I take it this is she ? "

" Allow me to introduce you your majesty. "

" No need to be so formal, Duncan. We'll be shedding blood together after all. Greetings ! Might I know your name ? "

" I am Solona Amell, your majesty. " You do a little curtsy before responding to his hand shake.

" Pleased to meet you ! The grey wardens are **** to bolster their numbers and I am glad to be helping them. I understand you hail from the circle of Magi. I trust you have some helpful spells prepared to use in the upcoming battle ? "

" I am very happy to hear that ! Allow me to be the first to welcome you to Ostagar. The wardens will benefit greatly with you in their ranks. "

" You are too kind your majesty. "

" I'm sorry to cut this short, but I should return to my tent. Loghain waits eagerly to bore me with his strategies. "

Duncan tried to stop him and almost seemed as to try to make him more serious about the situation but it is clear to see that he is very focused only on the battle. Once he leaves, you and Duncan have a brief conversation about the king, Ostagar and what should your next objective be. You are supposed to find Alistair and then come find Duncan again next to a huge bonfire that is in the middle of the square. With that, Duncan leaves and Ostagar is free to be explored. After crossing a long bridge, you arrive to the bulk of the camp. A guard standing in the entrance greets you and gives you some basic knowledge about the place, including the location of Alistair, telling you he was seen arguing with some mage in the back. You give him a smile and thank him for his time. Now you are free to explore or you can go straight to Alistair.
