Chapter 1061 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Find the doorway.

The tunnel ahead continues farther, descending deep underground, and just like last time, you reach an area which splits into three different directions. Not only do both Snow and Fang seem drawn towards one path in particular, but you do also remember the way from before. So you head to the right, where it eventually shrinks. It really is no surprise how nobody found this place before. Nobody would think to or wish to squeeze through such dangerous terrain for no reason. Eventually, it widens and flattens once more.

"I feel so strange," Fang whispers.

Snow nods. "I felt the same way last time."

Ahead, at the end where the tunnel appears to abruptly stop, is a door of stone. Around it are symbols, perhaps a seal of magic, though you look to the inscription Snow read aloud last time around. "Children of the yarn, proceed with care. All others, enter only if you dare," it says.

This time, Fang approaches to place her hand gently over the carvings. "I feel... a tingle through my body. It's so familiar, but it also makes me feel nervous. It's calling to me, but I don't hear anything."

"Amazing. I've never seen something like this," Lalarin says. "I mean, I've seen doors, but this is something special. I don't feel exactly what you're describing, but I still get the sense that something beyond here is something spectacular."

"I had a similar experience outside the other door," Eva explains. "The one housing Lepo."

"Then I hope she's home, or we'll have another cave to traverse."

"Snow. Fang. I think it's safest if you both push the door open," you say. "Just in case. We should do as we did the first time, with the catfolk ahead. I imagine the creation deity of all catfolk still prefers her own children to enter compared to others, whether she recognizes us immediately or not."

"So how exactly did you even obtain their powers?" Lala asks, glancing over to you.

You look back. "Uh. it was because of my class. The experiments Elok and Breiah did on me. I was able to I guess... absorb a couple of their innate abilities? Though they may have wished this to happen. I don't know. Gods really like to speak in riddles."

"They just sent some sort of magical energy into you, and granted you their boon?"

"... Something like that."

Ahead, Snow and Fang both lay a hand on the door.

"All right." Fang takes a deep breath. "Lets go," she says before pushing through.
