Chapter 9 by Urhr93
Back to the mortal plane.
Planning the future
Even as her eyes readjusted to the shinier light of the mortal world Sae could still feel the divine semen seeping into her soul, converting into pure power... it felt gross, but it also felt undeniably empowering.
A quick look to her status and she realized it wasn't just a feeling.
Name: Sae Yoake
Level: 3
Class: Knight, Natural, Thief, Acrobat, Illusion Magic, Core Magic (Illusion)
Strength C
Constitution C
Agility S
Charisma B
Magic A
Intelligence C
Maybe it was due to her low level, but sucking up a god gave her two new levels!
She did hear about sexual behaviour as a possible revenue of experience, but this was... godly!
Maybe she'd get even more if the sexual act was more... well, more. Or if he didn't hold back as he said he would...
But then again, no matter how much she could level up that way there was NO way she wanted to slut her levels up!
Iriel appeared in her sight, and Sae gave her a glare.
While she herself doubted her own willing involvement in that blowjob, there was no doubt it began with this girl's teachings!
But the elf tilted her head as if she didn't understand the reason for the glare, and Sae could only sigh in defeat. What would be the point of confronting her about it?
In the meantime Belus and Samantha noticed Sae was up and walked closer, asking "You're done?"
The two girls nodded, and the other two sat down along them "Well then, we should make some plans. You did tell me about Anu..."*cough* Iriel's pointed coughing interrupted Samantha's disrespectful mentioning of her god's name, the slutty mage rolling her eyes "...you did tell us he's planning for her to get some relics here and there, but he still hasn't pointed out any particular one and our funds are running low. And that's not even mentioning her low level. We need a plan"
"Don't worry, you'll get your dues regardless of our financial situation" Belus spoke up from the side, reassuring the female mage about her wages and making Sae realize that regardless of how much she knew Samantha was here more for the coins than for any ideal or faith... was it really ok to share core parts of their planning and objectives to someone who cared more about coins than about them?
Well, she just joined so maybe she had the wrong idea about Samantha and she didn't care only about money... hopefully Iriel would have thought about it.
Too bad Iriel hadn't, the ex-truck driver not thinking that far and just treating Belus hired whore as a permanent member of their little group after finding out she was also a powerful mage.
"Well, our main points will be to secure funds while leveling..." Iriel threw out some vague objectives, then turned to Sae and looked at her as if saying that she was the leader and she should call the shots.
But Sae barely knew the basic about this world so how could she make a viable plan? However the three expected something of her, and she decided to share what she had planned when pulling her classes.
"I have to recover various things, and i don't think steamrolling our way through any obstacle is a good idea on the long run, especially because we could have meet enemies we might not be able to fight head on. I might be Anu-" Iriel's coughing **** Sae to change the way she adressed her god "I might be his champion, but i believe there might be others like me out there following other gods and i also heard about heroes and all sorts of strong enemies... well, trying to crush everything sounded stupid, so i developed my talents in a way that would make it easier to recover items without a fight even when they are under heavy surveillance"
The two mages apparently approved of her words, the two also thinking that only brutes would tackle every problem with just their muscles rather than their heads, though the way Sae described it made them think it'd be like... "...stealing?" Belus commented, and Samantha added "A thief? Anu-"*Iriel's cough*"His champion is a thief!?" she couldn't believe it, how could a god's great champion be a mere thief?
"No, not a mere thief... a Phantom Thief!" Sae corrected with thrill in her tone, and the two mages echoes "A phantom thief!"
It was like they heard something amazing, but after echoing her their expression made it clear they had no idea about what she was talking.
Iriel, on the other hand, jumped at the revelation and looked very amazed "A phantom thief? Really? No way, no way, no way, oh gosh, oh my, we really are gonna be a Phantom Thief's sidekicks, like, really?"
Wasn't she too hyped about this? What Sae didn't know was that in his previous life the middle-aged drived loved shows about gentlemen thieves and dreamed to be like one, though his beer belly would bring him back down to the harsh reality... and yet he now had the chance to be one!
Even if only a sidekick!
This... this must be Anubis blessing, right from the underworld!
He might be an evilish **** god, but only good things happened to Iriel ever since she began to follow him... Anubis is love, Anubis is life!
She really wanted to get down and dirty to show her god just how grateful she really was, but unfortunately her soul would still appear as her old male self...
Iriel did feel her roots as a male, but he had long since shed the shackles of gender.
During the first twenty to thirty years of her new life she was still influenced by her old fifty years old male self and developed into a lesbian direction, but he also loved booze as much as in his last life and that gave someone the chance to give him the dicking she needed to recognize her new body's femininity... and so she awoke to dick, but never to forget pussy.
Why was there a need to differentiate?
The goddess of love might be bad, but love itself had no sin so Iriel would love them all.
Males, females. Human, inhumans... monsters, animals, trees, whatever had any worth fucking, Iriel would try them all!
She held no prejudice, a pansexual wild spirit that wanted to see the whole world (and fuck it while she was at it!)!
The two mage didn't realize what was so good about the Phantom Thief thing but considering how hyped their companion was... was it supposed to be something good?
Maybe it was related to the divine, a kind of lost class from the ancient times that would... not knowing the detals, Belus and Samantha were making up movies in their mind about the nature of this supposedly incredible class.
"Well, a Phantom Thief is supposed to be elegant, mysterious, untraceable. He's not a simple thief, he doesn't bully the weak or steal from the poor, he aims high and tells the owner about what he's going to steal and when he's going to do it... and he will, he will obtain what he claimed he will from right under the owner's eyes! And he won't even notice! Not till it's already too late, and the gallant thief's laughter will resounds on the horizon as he disappear along his prize..." Iriel began to paint a beautiful picture for the two ignorant mages, and Sae nodded.
"That's the... well, you can take it as an outlook on what we'll do. Steal from the rich, and possibly evil owners of great treasures. It'll help increase our funds while also camouflaging our real objectives when we do steal the relics Anu-"*Iriel's cough*"When we take the relics he wants"
"But the problem remains about your level" Samantha pointed out, and Sae nodded "Indeed, we first have to do something about it. And about my regular equipment. I have something Anu-"*Iriel's cough"He gave me, but i'll reserve it as my Phantom Thief gear. A key point of the gig is having exclusive equipment to univocally identify me, and using it elsewhere will give me away. The sword can shapeshift so i can still use it while we find something more suitable, but for gear..."
"No worries, i got something you can wear in the meantime" Iriel pointed out, and pulled out some simple clothes... a bit too simple actually, though the cape borrowed from Belus would help her to add some cover.

"So the only remaining problem is leveling up. There's little chance to do so safely in the desert or on the way to Draygr, so we should take the chance to go farther north. We shouldn't be far from the river, and there's a few forests up there where it's easier to gain experience" Belus shared his wisdom, and Samantha nodded "I also heard there's a village around there, and the last time i went to the guild i noticed a request for help from someone in that area. It may not be our planned way to earn funds, but beggars can't be chooser and we do need a way to make do while we get our Miss Thief in shape, don't we?"
Iriel didn't like the way Samantha sounded, it felt like she was making fun of the phantom thief thing, but what she said was right.
A place to level up and a quest to earn some money. It sounded like their next stop was decided... to the NORTH!
"Oh, right. As a Phantom Thief, what will be your name?" Iriel sounded like she had almost forgotten the most important thing.
Sae thought for a second, and then remembered the rose-shaped mark on her hip. Why did she always forget to ask Anubis about that?
"Rose. I'll be known as Phantom Thief Rose"
To the north!
