Fighting!

"Are you okay Innu!?" Luna asks while running up to her.

"Yes, thanks for the help. I didn't think it knew I was coming." Innu replies causing Luna to sigh in relief. "Are you okay Master?" Innu asks and I nod.

"Yeah, and it knew where I was hiding earlier. I think these things can sense us, or at least their surroundings. It knew where we were despite not seeing us. So we shouldn't sneak up on them anymore. Let's start each battle with a ranged attack first" I tell them and they each nod. We turn away from the cars and walk towards the trees surrounding the parking lot. I didn't notice before, but a giant wall of fog is above the trees. I can see between the trees, so I know it's only above them. Before we get close, two more Rotting Tree Ents come running out from our left. We jump back and raise our weapons.

"Wait!" I quietly shout to the girls. "The Ents aren't coming for us." I continue as the Ents run toward the cars. They run past us and stop where we killed the first Ent.

"What should we do?" Innu asks.

"Let's get them. Luna, Innu, you two will take the one on the left. I'll get the other's attention." I say while raising my Dagger. The girls nod and I Multicast two Flaming Maws. The two flaming faces jump off my Dagger and fly toward the Ent's backs. Before they connect the Ents turn around and slam their arms into the Maws.

"They do sense their surroundings!" Luna exclaims before we run toward them. The two Ents ignore Luna and Innu, but they rush me. It seems they know I'm the one who cast that spell. I slow down my pace a bit, letting Luna run ahead of me. She's faster than Innu and gets to the Ents first. She manages to stay out of the right ones range, so it doesn't notice her. She jumps over the left ones arm and slams her flaming claws into its face.

Luna jumps back as I get to my Ent. I duck under its arm and cast Hydra. I make two of the heads bite down on its arms and lift it up.

I make the jump back to give the girls some space. I take out my wings and fly to the Ent I'm holding. I stab my Katana into its head.

I see Innu pulling her flaming sword from its body. I store the drop away before the three of us continue.

"Why did these two come running out f the trees?" Luna asks as we start walking away.

"Maybe they could sense we killed one?" Innu says, tossing out her guess.

"That's probably it. I fought a bunch of Nature Elementals before. They knew when I killed one of them. The Boss of that Dungeon was a Tree Ent. It knew I had killed the Elementals." I say causing them to nod. Luna turns back and looks at the glowing bodies before they disappear.

"Should we wait then? They could be coming here now. So we can wait to ambush them." Luna says and I think it over.

"Yeah, we can try that." I reply and Innu chuckles to herself.

"Hopefully this will go better than the Goblin one." She says causing Luna to laugh. We walk over to the cars and sit on the hood of one. We don't feel the need to hide, since the Ents can't seem to see us. They can only sense us if we're close. We wait for a few minutes before Luna groans.

"This is boring! Let's go hunt them down!" She says and Innu starts nodding. I chuckle before hopping off the hood.

"Okay, le-" I start when a loud rumble stops me. I turn to where it came from as another rumble sounds off. We see the trees shaking as the rumbling gets louder and louder. We can make out what it is through the fog above the trees before it gets here. It's a large creature, shaped like a person. Unlike the Ents it has fingers and elbows. It's massive, at least fifteen feet tall if not taller. Before it steps out of the fog, seven more Rotting Ents run out of the trees. They run ahead of the large creature and to where we slew the Ents earlier. The seven Ents stop in a small group and I point my Dagger at them and cast Flame King's Vortex. I make it big enough to swallow all seven of them. The flames immediately roar to life, consuming the Ents in a spiral of raging red flames. We can feel the raging heat of it from over fifteen feet away.

The girls run forward as the flames disappear. We get away from the cars as I store the drops. I Observe the large creature as it steps onto the parking lot. It's made of rotting wood and is producing a dark black fog. The fog seeps out of its mouth endlessly. It looks like the Ents, but much bigger and more defined. It has fingers, elbows, and even toes. Its wood is dark and has patches of mold all over it.
