Chapter 2

Bus shenanigans
The part where homework comes with vengeance
I sit in the seat and put down my backpack. I lay my head against the window and relax. I made it. I'm not late. Everything is o... Wait. No.
I look in my backpack and pull out a book. It's true. The reason I slept so late was because I was playing games. I got distracted and lost track of time. Meaning... I didn't do my math homework.
My grades are bad enough. If I turn in a blank homework assignment, I might fail.
I check my phone. 7:45. That gives me four minutes to bullshit through the homework. I grab a pencil out of my backpack and look at the first problem.
Four minutes later, we pull into the school as the bell rings. I managed to write answers for every question. Wrong ones, but still answers. My teacher knew I wasn't a math genius, so it wouldn't look off.
I pack my homework and hop off the bus. I walk to my first class, math. I hand in my homework and sit in my desk.
After a very boring math class, I leave and go to my next class, anatomy. This class wasn't hard for me. I was able to remember the body until after the test and then I forgot all the information I learned. It was efficient.
I walk in and see my teacher, Ms. Hall, was not in her desk, most likely in her supply closet making coffee. I don't blame her. If I had to deal with all these students and have to live through laughter at the mention of anything about the abdomen, I would probably need lots of coffee, too. (And maybe something stronger added to it.)
I sit in my desk and get out my materials for the class, determined to pay attention so I have at least a decent gpa.
The teacher walks in with, yep, a cup of fresh coffee and sits at her desk. She doesn't have her binder out for the lesson and I'm starting to get a little confused.
Then the dreaded words come.
"Okay, everybody. Stuff away, phones in backpacks. Time for a surprise test." Said Ms. Hall.
What quiz is it?
